  3. Officially going to Milan for 5 days during the Olympics. I have no tickets yet, but ofc I will buy some.
  4. Gotta feel for defending world bronze medalists, but couldn't make it to the Olympics
  5. It is a crisis, when all sports received major cuts for the 2025-2026 fiscal from the cuts already made for 2024-2025. THe numbers for the former are still not public. The information I pulled is from the Sport Canada website.
  6. The 2022-2023 was the last table before the update to show 2024-2025.
  7. Australia and China advance to the next round
  8. and are into the final 4 Group B is where it gets interesting. Tonight its v and v If and win, the top three would be tied for 6-1 (AUS, CHN and NED), and have a 1-1 record amongst themselves. This would mean the draw shot comes into play. In that case and would advance.
  9. And Summer sports, similar story and heavier cuts...
  10. Canadian sports funding is at a crisis. We need to be writing into our politicians because it will only get worse. This is a comparison of winter sports between 2022/2023 and 2024-2025 (ending March 2025) and we know things have gotten worse. Only Speed Skating had an increase in funding, but their CEO on Linkedin recently posted they got a drastic cut and are struggling. The good news is direct funding for athletes has gone up. Summer sports will come later.
  11. 2025 World Champion Liam Brearley in Snowboarding Slopestyle
  12. That would be the only explanation that would work. This Friday is the announcement.
  13. Jacobs loses in extra ends to McEwen at the Grand Slam in Saskatoon. Meanwhile, Homan beat Constantini 8-1
  14. Gotta feel for Katie Weaver, I believe she was the alternate in Beijing and PyeongChang if im not mistaken.
  15. Currently 3 quotas need to be returned, meaning we'd only need one decline of a quota spot to get a 7th women's quota. Fingers crossed for a 6th men's spot (highly unlikely, we would need 8 declines)
  16. And the final results (the number in front of their name is their rank in qualification) M 4 Xavier McKeever 2:08.26 10 1Graham Ritchie 2:08.39 12 Remi Drolet 2:08.95 23 Sasha Masson 2:09.01 21 Antoine Cyr 2:11.84 5 Finn Redman 2:14.69 W 2 Olivia Bouffard-Nesbitt 2:25.49 1 Katie Weaver 2:25.83 3 Sonjaa Schmidt 2:27.21 5 Alison Mackie 2:29.43 4 Amelia Wells 2:29.62 6 Jasmine Drolet 2:32.44
  17. Serbia's Olympic Committee rejected its quota for 2022 and Liechtenstein is a maybe. They have rejected quotas in the past.
  18. Yes! ---- Antoine Cyr was 21st in the sprint qualifications
