  1. Both are idiots who come from the same background... only difference is Peña was from the "upper class" and Lopez is from the "poor class"; yet both are equally incompetent, gold diggers. The only difference is that Peña was a puppet controlled by the Salinas family /hence the risk of another Tequila effect) and Lopez is a senile mesianic person. So in all honesty we should better change the country's official name to "Estamos Jodidos Mexicanos"
  2. So Mexico got its first medal, a bronze in taekwondo, so no surprise there. On the other hand, quite glad with our girl's hockey team drawing with Poland, and Paulina Vargas finishing 10th in women's floor. Big dissapointment by our shooter in boy's air rifle and our swim team. Just hope Carolina Guevara qualify to the semis in her individual events.
  3. Sad day for Brazil indeed... people is so fed up with crime, corruption and bucreacrat's inneficacy in Latin America that they will turn to the extreme right or the populist left, based on promises that were fabricated by political marketing firms. Mexico is at huge risk of causing another "Tequila effect" like it was 24 years ago and Brazil is now on the verge of being governed by a genocidal lunatic Good bless us all
  4. People don't understand that most Spanish speaking countries use two last names. It's not uncommon for me to be adressed as Mr. Vazquez by non hispanic people.

  6. @intoronto I owe a huge apology. You were right, CAC Games were the qualifier in open water swimming. Top 8 in each gender qualified. I didn't realize I had an old version of the qualification manual.
  7. And Mexico started on the wrong foot, getting pounded 0-6 by the Americans The other game saw Panama beat 3-0 Trinidad & Tobago.
  8. And Mexico qualified by a miracle, thanks to the Argentinian team. However I don't think they could win another set during the 2nd round.
  9. MEXICO Cafe Tacvba - Eres Lyrics in Spanish English translation
  10. & got the other spots in groups competition
  11. Mexico will only win one, in women's sabre. Anything else will be a surprise.
  12. USA final rooster
  13. Tomorrow starts qualifications in Rhythmic Gymnastics. Live video will be available at host federation FB page. From the start lists Brazil, Canada, Mexico and USA should have no problem in securing max number of gymnasts (2 individuals & 5 in groups) In individuals, only one country won't qualify, which I'm afraid will be either Bolivia, Chile or Venezuela. Peru, as host country, will be awarded an additional spot, meaning 17 individuals will compete next year. However, I'm sure she will finish in last place. For the groups, Peru and Costa Rica are definitely out, while the other 2 tickets should be contested between Argentina, Chile, Cuba and even Venezuela.
  14. I'm wondering when Canada will enter this one
  15. I think someone should check the other entries, to see if any of them is not elegible under this rule.
  16. Well, they have been the dominant team in the region since last Olympic cycle, which is rather good considering we didn't have a team 10 years ago. Men have grown, but they still make silly mistakes and lack proper team play... they depend too much on individual plays.
  17. Well, probably and hopefully, it will attract a bigger crowd in its next edition.
  18. Actually, I think this will be the qualifying event for Central American and Caribben NOC's, probably one of the last to be held.
  19. And like it's tradition, the men's side gets over confident and lost a match they could have won
  20. Well, If I'm not wrong, this is the most important competition at the amateur level. Good result for your competitor.
  21. And after all of the above, it would be rude to leave out Namibia.
  22. It's incredible how they don't even know their own rules.
  23. And Mexico's is out
  24. Argentina qualified 5 women in kayak, 6 men in kayak and 1 man in canoe. Well, Wild Cards were supposed to "Federations participating at the 2018 Pan American Canoe Sprint Championship and have not received a Quota." So according to that, Jamaica will be granted a wild card. Peru could receive one, but they didn't show up, so this is a sport in which they won't compete. As for the reallocation, qualification document states the following: So, as you can see, the person who wrote this, clearly needs to work on his syntax. I guess, each country other than Canada who already reached quota limit, will be given an extra athlete. But I'll wait for an "official" document or press release to see the final numbers.
  25. Canoe Sprint +12 +2 +10 +16 +8 +9 +12 +6 +1 +1 +13 +3 +1 +12 +3 Note: These numbers are after the 2019 Pan American Championships; still 16 places to reallocate.
