  1. Four actually: women's poomsae, pair poomsae, men's relay (modern pentathlon) and men's 1m springboard. The other thirteen events were on the 2015 Games program.
  2. Very well for the USA in their last dive. Too bad they let it all to their last attempt. And Brazil will get a medal in this event. Congratulations to them @vinipereira @thiago_simoes Excellent dive from the Canadians, but as with USA, those intermediate dives greatly hurt them. And Mexico, thankfully, does good in their last dive, so it's another gold for this delegation.
  3. After that fifth dive, USA will be probably out of the podium. Total Cuban meltdown... it'll be hard for them to avoid the bottom of the table. Not a clean dive for Brazil, both divers failed their individual jumps. Still, it will be a disaster for them not to finish with bronze Good next to last dive for Canadians, that does not get the notes it should. They'll fight off Brazil for bronze. On a side note, terrible job from organizing committee... another failure in the scoring system. And the last dive from Mexico was pretty good... they'll earn gold except a catastrophe happens.
  4. And the king of bad diving Frandiel Gómez does it again... a total flop. And again, the US had a flop, but now from both divers. Once more, their "synchrony" was overscored. The same for the Brazilian pair, but now these teams will be contesting bronze @thiago_simoes @vinipereira Again judges for the synchro element are idiots... Colombia's dive deserved 5.0 notes... now they also are in contention for a medal (which in this case don't deserve). Canada again, a dive not executed to the Max, and Mexican García also fails his dive. I won't further comment on the synchro judges But the fight for medals, is open for 5 teams.
  5. And Bolivia is in mixed doubles finals in tennis @thiago_simoes I still is Jarry and Guarachi's to lose, but if they have a mental break down, Bolivia may be looking at their first gold
  6. Cuba and Colombia were overscored in both sincronicity and execution. Meanwhile Bromley and Zsombor Murray hurt their teams chances with their defective executions, but guess the judges decided to be a little lenient. They went also lenient with Berlín dive.
  7. Another beautiful dive from Canadian pair, a little underscored imo. To the contrary, Americans were overscored in synchronicity... that dive in 2nd round deserved a 7.5-8.0 notes
  8. Good score for the Canadians on their first dive. Mexicans were overscored, as García opened before Berlín. Also overscored Colombian pair. But's it's only round one, real competition in synchro starts with third dive.
  9. And Chile does it in volleyball. Congratulations to them. Mexico was in the "easier" group and should have won against both USA's "C" team and Chile, but were too overconfident and showed poor skills in those two games. Now let's hope they can at least beat Peru.
  10. 33, just like Rommel Pacheco. They have been competing at senior level for the past 16 years. However, I really dislike her. She's part of a scam on public funds that affect most other Mexican athletes, in which our head of sport, former world champion Guevara, has robbed more in the past 8 months, that the past national sports director did in his four years tenure (and that was a lot).
  11. In fifteen minutes, the start of the men's 10m platform synchro. Ideally, Mexico has 3 different couples that could win this event; this time however, this time they're represented by "made-up" couple, just to ensure that an athlete (García, cough) would be competing at the Games. This should open the competition, so Canada's Riendau & Zsombor-Murray or USA's Bramley/Jonhson could steal the show from them,, if they get their act together. The rest of the field could only challenge for a bronze if any of the above fails badly. Curiously the Dominican Republic will compete with a "loan" from Mexico, Jonathan Ruvalcaba, who in Toronto finished in fourth along García, in another made up team.
  12. I'm not. Women's diving in Mexico has returned to its past, with average divers, but no one capable of challenging top contenders. Plus corruption in the federation, summed with idiotic qualification system for Pan Am, seriously ruined our chances in the rest of the events.
  13. Chile one set away from going into semifinals in men's volleyball
  14. For future reference, this thread is devoted to diving events discussion
  15. And Sarah Bacon wins gold Great final dive from her.
  16. Imo Espinosa was overscored in her second dive, but now has been somewhat (but unfairly) compensated. Bacon was also overscored in round 3, while at least some justice was done to Dolores Hernández.
  17. Marca Claro with a vpn.
  18. Menezes Chile loses a "secure" gold.
  19. Me too, just like Paraguay. I think they should be favorites in singles and doubles, but in team's is anyone's game.
  20. It is in men's, but we have the recordwoman of all times in this sport, Paola Longoria. The main rivals will come from Argentina and the US. In men's, Mexican and US players could upset Bolivia. Also Costa Rica has chances to medal in male events.
  21. Mauricio Fiol , who lost the 200m butterfly silver medal due to doping, gets caught again for using the same substance (stanozolol) Note(in spanish)
  22. And racquetball
  23. Medal for Paraguay
  24. It will be the second Pan American medal for both in this event... although Quiroz won it 2011 and Escobar in 2015.
