  1. Paola Longoria has won her 100th title in the Women's Pro Racquetball circuit Probably our best professional sportsperson of the past decade.
  2. Ireland missed out by 0.32
  3. I was fearing a mass hara kiri ritual later tonight, but it seems Japanese team can sleep tonight.
  4. Sadly, they couldn't do that, as they performed vault for the team's last rotation Anyway, glad to see Moreno back on form after a couple of scares earlier this season.
  5. Alexa Moreno has one foot in Tokyo Meanwhile Japan is on the chopping block in women’s team
  6. Well cochino is not necesarily an insult if you're refering to a farm animal, but I understand why the girl felt insulted
  7. MEXICO Greestings fellow Totallympians! The Mexican jury proudly presents its submission for the Totallympics Open International Song Contest 2019 Ximena Sariñana - Different Lyrics
  8. Well, its slang, and depending on the region, it means many differents things. The Spanish Language Dictionary, defines it as another name for pigs, a derivation from "cochino", also used as "cochón" or "cochis" in some places, like Sinaloa (Mexico). Also, I found that in other parts of Latin America, it is a name for different kinds of roasted flour. It was also a denonym for the people of Tierra Caliente, in the current Mexican states of Michoacan and Guerrero, due to the color of their skin, as most of them had both, native American and African heritage. However, most recently it isused in Mexico as slang for having sex, also spelled "cosho", "coshar".
  9. Look at Morejon run to avoid being detached... where are those yellow panels?
  10. And again, English speaking countries get away with just warnings... IAAF and WADA are turning a blind eye... if it were a Russian, every single sportsperson would be automatically banned and put under surveillance for the whole Olympic cycle.
  11. According to the nominative entry list posted today, the first six were picked by US gymnastics. Wonder who will be left out as the alternate.
  12. I'm glad the Czech team managed to finish in 3rd place, against Israel(ish conveniently Jewish Americans), (Caribbean) Netherlands, Jersey Shore (aka Italy) and (Former) Spain('s Colonial Empire).
  13. @intoronto Good return to competition for Rosie MacLennan, finishing 18th on qualifications, which is great given the injury that kept her out of Pan Am Games. Currently she and Smith are in second place in synchro qualifications, and with just 6 pairs remaining, she's certain to advance to the final.
  14. On another event, Andrea MONTESINOS just finished in 5th position U.S. Classic, Mexico's best result ever at a Senior level figure skating competition In addition she'll most likely earn points for the season's ranking, outside World Champs or 4 Continents, another first for the country
  15. Unless my memory fails, this song hasn't been entered in past editions.
  16. If I correctly read the document, then yes... If Ukraine wins European quota and the US wins the American one, then Mexico goes to Tokyo as the next best non qualified group from 2019 world championships.
  17. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Ukraine still can qualify from the by winning Europe's continental quota (their only real challenge will come from Finland), in which case USA should take the unused host spot right? Very suspicious indeed, that they were only .100 over Mexico, who granted weren't at their best in their first routine, and that Brazil was severely underscored in their second routine... it seems US Gym will now try to bribe the people in charge of trampoline, so misteriously, their gymnasts start displacing the Canadians from the top position in the continent. So now, sadly, Mexico and Brazil will go head to head trying to qualify for the American continent.
  18. If anyone is interested, live results and streaming of Trampoline World Cup in Khabarovsk, right now.
  19. Again, Alexa Moreno suffered a slight injury and had to pull away from the World Challenge Cup in Guimaraes This will mostly puts her qualification to Tokyo in risk, and greatly reduces Mexican already small chances to qualify a team. Meanwhile, Frida Esparza had a decent 13.750 score in uneven bars, which bring some hope she can get an individual quota. Daniel Corral seems back in form, earning a good 14.200 in floor, but a not so good (but not terrible either) 13.750 in pommel horse; I believe if he continues with this form, he also may qualify an individual quota at Worlds. Meanwhile, Fabian De Luna is still struggling in Rings, only 14.100 this time. Full results (Day One)
  20. I'm not saying he or anyone else wasn't racist back then. What I'm saying is that now everyone wants to be offended and play the victim by out of place, irresponsible comments. Not that in any case it doesn't deserve an apology to those people who actually received an injury, either moral, psychological or physical. And like I say, whoever says his/herself hasn't thrown an insult, being a racial/gender/religious/social epithet or a disregarding, offensive comment to belittle someone for any other reason, is certainly lying and in that case, is just a big hypocrit. But truth to be told, unless we're talking about actual hate crimes (genocide, mass murder, segregation, illegal experimentation, human trafficking), I really find unnecessary an apology out of time in mass media, if not, outright farsical and insincere; but you know, nowadays people is more concerned about outward gestures than actual honesty and taking full responsibility regarding actions, omissions and statements; what I call political correction.
  21. i would rather call him "Bieber-like-mediadarling-attentionwhore", but when you're when new mass media and PR firms take you to power, you also risk being crucified by them by some dumb idiocy you said the past. Just remember Ricky Martin made a succesful coup d'etat in Puerto Rico, after some unfortunate and I admit out of place rant for a political leader such as the the Governor, but in my mind I just thought how biased and judgemental is the people to actually make him resign for such triviality, when 99.99% of the world's population has talked trash abou others, even throwing insults, at one point of their life.
  22. This is of course only a 2000's movie fueled theory, but perhaps, only perhaps, FIG has just given the boot to Mamma Viner, so she "randomly" put some bombs on those crowns, so the all around final be a tribute to the 1812 overture. So if I were Linoy Ashram (or another of the finalists) I would fake an injury in order to stay as far as possible from the Averinas.
  23. On another topic, Ruth Castillo turned 29 years old yesterday in her debut at the likely last World Championships of her career, making her the oldest gymnast in competition.
