  1. Can’t say I’m a big fan of flag football even being at the Olympics… but having NFL players on the team just ruins it even more (and that’s not to mention half of the other changes that I hate) I’d rather have seen karate back or ultimate, but at least it’s not as bad as breaking…
  2. I’m sorry, but there’s no way she’s not either overtraining (edit: and crash out in the next 2-3 years) or doping. I mean crushing the boy’s NAG by 3 seconds as a girl? No female swimmer can be that good. Way too suspicious.
  3. 45.89 for Michael Roth in the men’s 400m at the SEC Championships! Honestly, I’m not sure why we didn’t send a 4x400 squad to World Relays.
  4. Gold for Katie Vincent in women’s C1-500m at the Szeged WC!
  5. Pryce, not Price Strong season opener for SAFP, the time was faster than I was expecting although still nowhere close to the level she was at years ago.
  6. Men’s roster for VNL is out. We’re going with a mix of youth and experience, with a lot of the big names missing like Szwarc, Loeppky, Demyanenko, Hoag, Eshenko… On the plus side… Sclater is finally back, and Kofi is making his return from injury!
  7. As for we seem to be going with a mix of experience (Schnitzer, Lui, Currie, Elser, Hofer, McCarthy, Ketrzynski, Canham, Sclater, Kofi) and youth… mostly players that haven’t got the opportunity. Kofi is playing his first tournament back from injury, and Sclater seems to have un-retired from the NT (probably has something to do with Sammelvuo leaving) Varga and Heslinga are also on it, I recognize them from the NORCECA Final 6 (either that or the Men’s Pan American Cup) Most notable absences are Eshenko, Hoag, Van Berkel, Szwarc, Demyanenko, Loeppky… hopefully they’ll be back for Worlds.
  8. Men’s Rosters are now out: https://www.instagram.com/share/BAM96c5T0E
  9. First names announced for World Championships in Tokyo. https://www.instagram.com/share/_kwtLIiQW I’m busy tomorrow, but on Thursday I’ll do updates on here from all the various meets in the past few weeks.
  10. Women’s 4x100m relay with a new NR of 42.46, and finishes 5th in the final!
  11. Mixed 4x400m relay breaks the NR with 3:12.95 at the World Relays!
  12. Gold in the mixed 4x100m relay at World Relays with a time of 40.30!
  13. Semifinal finish for Erin Brooks at the WSL CT Gold Coast Pro! Secures her spot in the second half of the season!
  14. Rosters are now out! https://en.volleyballworld.com/volleyball/competitions/volleyball-nations-league/teams/women/7538/schedule/ No Alexa Gray for this is a big shock to me and I fear we might be screwed now given that we don’t have a consistent second attacker. Hopefully she’s taking a break from the NT for the summer and will be back for Worlds, and it isn’t injury related.
  15. Rosters are out for Women’s VNL! No Alexa Gray… guess she’s taking the summer off from the NT, but hopefully we’ll see her back for World Championships. Van Ryk, Maglio, and Johnson better step it up in her absence because that’s one of our top two attackers.
  16. Bronze for our women’s team at the SVNS season finale in Los Angeles.
  17. Bronze for Eleanor Harvey at the Vancouver Women’s Foil WC!
  18. Gold- Stefania Constantini/Amos Mosaner Silver- Jennifer Dodds/Bruce Mouat Bronze- Tahli Gill/Dean Hewitt Olympic Quotas: Full Results
  19. Hugues Fabrice Zango has just announced that he’ll be retiring after the 2025 season
  20. Marco Arop takes the win with a very pedestrian time of 1:43.69 in the men’s 800m at the Grand Slam Track League Miami. Edit: WTF am I talking about
  21. 54.60, Gretchen Walsh with another WR in the women’s 100m butterfly
  22. 57.46 for Regan Smith in the women’s 100m backstroke! This has got to be one of the Pro Swim Series’ of all time.
