  1. 11-2 … Their serves aren’t even that good
  2. Boisson through to the semifinals, just wow
  3. It’s time for the start of VNL
  4. Sander Skotheim with 8,909 points in the men’s event, moves to #7 on the world all-time list. These Norwegian decathletes are really something, first Rooth won gold at the Olympics last year and now this
  5. 8527 points for Damian Warner at the Hypomeeting Gotzis. Decent, but as a supposed medal contender it’s a bit disappointing. Pierce LePage with a DNF in his first meet back from injury.
  6. Anna Hall goes #2 on the all-time heptathlon list with 7,032 points in Gotzis! 1.95m in the high jump, 13.19 in the 100m hurdles, and 2:01.23 in the 800m are just insane
  7. I’m sorry but I can’t really take Church seriously… not only because of his last name, but he looks like he’s 50
  8. 77.93m for Camryn Rogers in women’s hammer throw, a little over half a meter under her PB (kind of surprising that she hasn’t gone above 78.62m)
  9. 1:43.38 SB for Marco Arop in the men’s 800m at Philadelphia GST!
  10. Quarterfinal finish after quarterfinal finish, when will it end?
  11. Honestly, even though Mel/Brandie had 2 SP’s of their own in that set, good on them for coming back from down 0-6 and saving multiple SP’s (OK, a lot of them were from missed/into the net serves but still)
  12. Meanwhile, Goetzis isn’t going too great for the Canadians…
  13. 82.73m WL for Ethan Katzberg in men’s hammer throw at the Kip Keino Classic!
  14. ‪Some of the action from the last week:‬ ‪Gabrielle DeBues-Stafford is back in form with a 4:03.81 in the women’s 1500m at the IFAM Outdoor meet in Brussels‬ ‪45.16 for CMW in the men’s 400m at the Rabat DL in men’s 400m and 4:03.54 for Lucia Stafford in the women’s 1500m‬ ‪Kenneth West with a PB of 7.75m in men’s long jump at the Filathlitikos Kallitheas International Jumping Meeting‬
  15. Update on some of the other action from the last week: Jordan Anthony with a blazing fast 9.75 in the men’s 100m prelims at NCAA West Prelims Meanwhile in the NCAA East Prelims, Abdul-Rasheed Saminu with a new PB and NR of 9.86 in the men’s 100m Brooke Andersen with a new WL of 79.29m in women’s hammer throw at the USATF Throws Festival, Deanna Price second in 78.51m and 5 American women above 75m and 7 above 70m Hilary Kpatcha with a new PB of 7.02m in women’s long jump at the Louis Tsatoumas Street Meet, and in second Jazmin Sawyers with 6.89m (returning from injury, just her third competition back) produces the third farthest jump of her career Juan Miguel Echevarria is BACK, and in his first competition in nearly four years produces a best mark of 8.24m in men’s long jump at the GP Diputacion Castellon
  16. 81.22m for Ethan Katzberg at the Halplus Werfertage in men’s hammer throw, in his second meet of the season!
  17. Yann Chaussinand with a new PB and WL of 81.91m at the Zagreb Meeting in men’s hammer throw!
  18. That being said… congrats to They played really well, and that was a deserved win.
  19. I hate hockey. I hate hockey. I hate hockey. I hate hockey. I hate hockey. I hate hockey. I hate hockey. I hate hockey. I hate hockey. I hate hockey. I hate hockey. I hate hockey. I hate hockey. I hate hockey. I hate hockey. I hate hockey. Always invest my time into this bullshit only to get disappointed time and time again (OK, maybe I’m over-exaggerating as we did have the 4-Nations but these past two Worlds have been dreadful and my Canucks always suck)
  20. Yeah um…. no words
  21. Bold of you to assume she’ll make it past a few more years It’s really concerning seeing her swim on average around 7-8 events every meet, and it leads me to believe that the coaches at the high performance center are overtraining her.
  22. To play devil’s advocate, if the NFL players turn out to make a big impact it’ll make for a cakewalk of a run to the Olympic gold with all of the matches being 100-0 (exaggerating but still) because 95% of the NFL is American Sure it might make Canada’s team better, as the country with the second highest number of NFLers, but as an avid NFL watcher, yeah nope I’d rather have not seen them take part. Complete joke.
