  1. Couldn’t happen to a kinder person, seriously. For some backstory, he held an exhibition in BC around two years ago, and given that it might have been the only chance I’d ever get to see Axelsen play (I’m not going to travel all the way to Malaysia…), I had to go, it was on my birthday too. After the match, he was signing autographs and taking pictures with people for a full hour, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to get one. Right as he was about to leave, I took one last ditch effort at it by saying loudly “WAIT VIKTOR, IT’S BIRTHDAY”, wasn’t really expecting much as he was probably quite tired, but to my surprise I was wrong. He not only came over to me to wish me a happy birthday, but he also autographed my Axelsen shirt, and took a picture with me. I still have fond memories of that day
  2. He’s done it again VIGGO HAS SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDED HIS OLYMPIC TITLE, AND IN SPECTACULAR FASHION! First gold for at these Olympics!
  3. I’d rather ice cross, telemark skiing, and FreeRide be added personally. Raising the athlete cap? I agree (I think the maximum of 32 athletes in freestyle skiing is stupid…)
  4. And the reigning World Champion has done it!
  5. Phenomenal shot by Bingjiao at 11-8 in set 2
  6. Not when you’re taking on Thibeault, no
  7. Se-Young takes the first set 21-13 Another South Korean gold seems to be on the cards today.
  8. QUARTERFINAL CURSE HAS FINALLY BEEN BROKEN! defeat 3-1, and are through to the semifinals
  9. Mostly agree, but has had ‘s number lately, and of course you can’t forget about their Olympic quarterfinal curse.
  10. Semifinals v. v. Worthy will be tough to contain, good luck @Biathlonfan
  11. Fredette is good at 3x3. That’s how I know you don’t take this event seriously In all seriousness, Fredette tore his ligament in the match against Poland, which might explain his lackluster performance this tournament. Completely unrelated, but I’m surprised didn’t even advance past the quarterfinals, they were my (and I’m sure most of the betting sites) picks for gold here and them and US were IMO a notch above the rest of the teams pre-tournament.
