  5. What. Just. Happened. Brian Yang is through to the final at the BWF Super 500 Indonesia Open, after defeating World #4 Anthony Ginting 14-21, 21-17, 21-19! He was 9-13 down in set two, and 15-19 (!) down in set three, but fought back brilliantly (that and Ginting was producing a bunch of unforced errors), even pulling out the forehand serve twice near the end. What a moment for Canadian badminton, he’s the first ever Canadian to ever reach a Super 500 (or higher) final!

  7. Still it’s obviously not the problem. The problem is France illegal goal (the free kick) that wasn’t even checked on var. why? Yes EHF wanted France to win.

  16. I think that you need to change this list according to allocations to Gold/Silver/Bronze Fleets. This means that all sailors behind Ryan Lo from Singapore already lost any chances to take the quota.

  26. After the referee failure in the semi I have hard to celebrate the Olympics qualification. Sweden should have at least silver. Sweden deserved better. Shame on you EHF. Never has it been so easy to cheer for my neighbor. Go Denmark! Get that damn gold medal.

  41. Canada win their first match in men’s hockey, defeating South Korea 8-0! Also, a lot (5) of the players who represented Canada at Lausanne 2020 went on to get drafted into the NHL, perhaps most notably Adam Fantilli.

  42. China Games and the national winter games are the same thing. It was supposed to be held in 2020 and postponed to February 2024. Speed Skating was finished early on January 2024 to make use the blank period in the middle of the season I guess. Gao finished this season after winning the Games but I don’t think he’s kinda retired. At least that’s not what he write on social media. He said see you guys next season.

Especially a 13-year old, I'd even say But since I assume he wants to eventually be a pro player, he does need to learn that you can't do this, no matter how clear the umpire mistake was. At least controlling your temper to some basic extent is part of being a professional as well. And yes, I know Nick Kyrgios will not give this post a 'Like'

  47. Annoying for small nations that might have to choose between a mixed 4x400 or mens/womens 4x400 though Basically I’m thinking of Ireland here. We’d be top 16 in mixed/womens if it were times only but with a smaller pool they probably won’t have strong enough teams to qualify both in Nassau

  49. let me give you a detailed answer people who know nothing about this sport usually can't understand the difference between GR and FS. I even remember some "wise" people even in totallympics suggested having 3 GR weights and 3 FS weights, like a wrestler can easily switch between styles. 50 years ago? maybe but nowadays you can't find a single wrestler in high level who tries both styles (yeah Taishi Narikuni tried Greco after winning the world title in FS but failed miserably) kids switch styles when they are younger to find what they can do better. but when they settle into one of those two styles that never changes. those genius guys in UWW (previously FILA) tried to find a way to show the world these styles are different. as far as I know they came up with two solutions. (there were other solutions like having different mat colors but that was costly) 1) let the Greco guys wrestle naked ! obviously I mean just the upper body I remember I heard one of their officials saying that's more "attractive" 2) having different weight classes they eventually went for #2. this way they just want to show the world these styles are different. and yes I know this is extremely stupid but UWW/FILA officials were never smart
