  4. I agree...the main problem is that normally EP isn't the only OTT service subscription... I usually have to add NHL.tv, MLB.tv, NFL GamePass, ESPN Player, Amazon Prime, Express VPN... and I have not active atm, iSakuraPro (Japanese IPTV), DAZN and Netflix... moreover, not going to mention the satellite tv subscriptions (sky Italia -basic + sport package- and Skylink Czech/Slovakia -Kombi pack)... I know I'm not mentally healthy and this thing is going beyond any reasonable behaviour...but still, that's my standard lineup...

  9. But then again, after hearing how much Eurosport player costs in other countries, $59 for FEItv annual subscription no longer feels pricey.

  12. That is pretty shitty. Come on, the nice thing about Eurosport Player is one can easily avoid all the boring football, don't put more football on there Although Eurosport here doesn't have any football anymore I believe, sadly the only interesting competitions they had (youth/U17/18/19/20 and so on World Cups) are also gone.

  13. I think Wu (CHN) and Tomic (CRO) are practically safe in F49. Tomic 100% safe if they correct the points. I did not follow all weight categories so cannot comment. in M 80 ESP is 5th, CRO 6th, but Egypt can overtake them with 3rd place tomorrow. And KOR with good chances for GS quota. F57: CHN probably gets last quota

  14. What a shame that the 7th spot at this WCh will be awarded with an Olympic quota (the two non-European nations won't have any chance in that OQT). In this format teams will be encouraged to lose a match purposely to finish 4th in their group.

    Taekwondo WT Grand Prix 2019

yes more than that here people are making lots of jokes in social media about them. some former athletes are making jokes like "thanks god I'm retired and I don't have to wear this" I really hope they drop the idea after this, white for women are less ugly but this idea of making men wearing all black is TERRIBLE.

  21. Nope. tomic took part in F53, which is taken into account for F49 as well. the 282 points she has in F49 are wrong as she has only 20 points from G1/2 despite having done 60 this year. The missing 20 points appear in a 2nd Olympic weight. similar situation with Jelic world teakwood sucks

These new uniforms look ugly. extremely bad idea IMO . apparently it's not mandatory here, some athletes don't wear them.

  29. And that's it for France. Which very likely means that the teams has to finish in the Top8 to get a OQT spot, maybe even Top7 if Korea flops in the main round.

  30. Never heard about carp in the bathtub ? Christmas is THE thing here ! The christmas lasts the whole 3 days from 24th to 26th, they are by law day-offs, everything must be closed. with the main day being the 24th in opposite to the half of the world, the christmas gifts are presented the 24th after the christmas dinner, and it´s not santa claus or anything similar who bring them under the tree, it´s "Ježiško" Literally Baby Jesus it varies between different houses, but in our family it´s always around 6 PM when we end the dinner and start watchiing the traditional Christmas TV program with former extremely popular czechoslovakian fairy tales movies and classic US christmas movies But The thing that is about christmas in Slovakia is... the superstitions ! hard to present all of them, maybe the most interesting for foreigners are the one about the cutting of the apple tradition to see if the star in the middle is not damaged and that means the house will experience prosperity during the next year.. or about the tradition that every families also set an extra place in the table for either an unexpected visitor or a departed relative.... but certainly the one that is the most important, when you´ll come one day to Slovakia for christmas, Never, never but never and when I say never, I mean NEVER ! Never leave the table untill the whole dinner is over, otherwise someone from the peoples sitting around the table will die untill the next christmas ! The only eligible person to stand and leave its chair is the person who is designed to serve the food or open the door etc... anyone else can not, even if you need to go to the toilet, you are unlucky, you´ll have to wait until the dinner will be finished https://www.wideopenspaces.com/slovakian-christmas-dinner-tradition-carp-bathtub-video/

  35. In Beach modern pentathlon, Indonesian athletes only get the one gold despite finishing 1-2. Why? Because of a sudden rule change which allows 1 country to get one medal. So from INA-INA-THA, it became INA-THA-PHI... I hereby proclaim the host's crimes have already surpassed KL 2017

  36. Without getting super technical and specific, and using the 2020 Winter YOG as an example. Here we go. If you look up the Lausanne2020 schedule (on Wikipedia, or the website) something should stand out quickly. The games last 14 days, and sports only go for one week. So essentially half the sports are happening in week 1 and half in week 2 (expect for one or two that span the whole schedule). The athletes stay in the village the week their sport takes place. One day they move out, and the next “wave” moves in (I believe it’s a Sunday because there’s only like 1-3 events that day or something). So essentially the village can be smaller (saving the organizers money) and sports can have more athletes. In this edition countries could have qualified up to 3 Alpine skiers for example. In the last edition only 3-5 countries got 2 skiers and everyone else got one (and some countries got none). This system is new to IOC events, but many other games already use variants of this system. It allows them to increase participation, cut costs, and have a more sustainable business model.

  37. Half compete one week, then leave, with the second week starting with new athletes. This means less beds would need to be available in the village.

  38. obviously they are looking at the current ranking and that's why they said that , Seif Essa is 5th and all athletes below him are eliminated , so that's easy conclusion but they are wrong. and let's hope your athlete doesn't count on that. I saw his reaction after the defeat when he was thanking God (even though he somehow got robbed with those cheap punch points but that's another matter) it seems he feels he is already qualified. there will be points deduction each month, that's why you can't trust the current ranking. you have to consider those points deduction first.
