4'49'' for the WR ; 4'40"" for 9100 points :d

And as a point of reference: his slowest competitive 1500m ever was 4:36 :d

In the last 2-3 years he's not as fast on it anymore as he was early on in his career when he ran low 4:20's or even sub-4:20's, but yeah, this is gonna be a huge, huge WR if he doesn't get hit by a Segway or something before the start :p

Wow WR :yikes::bowdown::bowdown: He probably could have done it at the European championships too

Too bad that I just came home from work and missed it (at least he showed every event on his Instagram story)

Very interesting progression by Mayer in the 100 m sprint, he never seemed to have any talent in this event and then in his 20s he suddenly exploded and became a super-sprinter.

I thought that Kaul would take the world record directly from Eaton, but Mayer made it considerably more difficult now, if Kaul shows the same development in the sprints, he will definitely take the world record, otherwise it will be very difficult.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

U18 Ukraine-Belarus-Turkey match meeting. It was cold and rainy.

Valeriya Ivanenko set the national record (75.80). She's just 25cm away from the world record best performance in women's hammer throw.

Yaroslava Mahuchikh (women's HJ) had awesome jump at 1.85 but she refused from jumping 1.90 because of heavy rain/weather conditions + she didn't want to catch cold before YOG.

    • sure! in every Italian bedroom you normally have every kind of table, chairs, furniture, tv screen  to me, this really look an unfinished room, you normally don't see such a sad place even when you buy a new house
    • Canoe Sprint There is a now a cap of 5 athletes per gender in the kayak events (down from 6 in 2024). The World Championships has been replaced by the Olympic Qualification Rankings.   K2 lost 2 boat quotas while K4 has gained 1 boat quota. Quota distribution is quite complicated as it usually is for canoe sprint. They also force nations to compete in a minimum number of events based on the number of athletes qualified; 2 and 3 athletes per boat class must compete in 2 events, 4 must compete in all 3 events and 5 must compete in all 3 events and have two entries in the K1 event.
    • Wrestling will have a completely new format, I do not like the changes. ranking isn't really a good idea in this sport, this will force wrestlers to compete in so many events to collect points. which is not good for their health. specially with the current UWW ranking points distribution system which is plain stupid   they are also gifting 18 quotas to very weak countries by that last qualification event. but I understand their point of view. can't wait to see lots of Russian wrestlers compete for weak countries for that 1 available quota.
    • Canoe Slalom Quotas from men's/women's K1 have been moved to men's/women's KX1. K1 will now have 14 quotas while KX1 will have 10 quotas. C1 remains at 17 quotas. Athletes may participate in other events up to a maximum of 2 athletes per NOC.   The World Championship qualifier has been dropped in favour of the Olympic Qualification Rankings (7 K1, 10 C1, 3 KX1), afterwards you have the Continental Qualifiers (1 per boat) and then a new Global Qualifier (2 per boat).   There were a few changes regarding ways to ensure an athlete can only obtain 1 quota. The biggest being at each stage the boat priority is K1 > KX1 > C1 for the rankings and KX1 > K1 > C1 for the continental/global qualifiers. This basically means if the same athlete qualifiers in multiple boats then the quota will be given to the kayak over canoe.
    • I'll post significant changes periodically. I'll start with the recently added/updated documents.   Archery The addition of mixed compound (12M & 12W) forced a reduction on the recurve side. The mixed compound quotas are distributed as follows   Host - 1 World Championships - 3 Continental Games - 5 World Ranking List - 2 Final Qualifier - 1   To compensate the team events will now only have 8 nations. 2 quotas were removed from the World Ranking List and 2 were removed from the Final Qualifier.   Individual recurve and mixed recurve distribution is the same
