I’m so pumped!!! It looks like the NBC Olympic Channel will broadcast the games on actual TV here in the US, or at the very least the opening ceremony and various highlights.

In Indonesia it clashes with Asian Para Games so.... nothing :(

Does it mean we will have TV coverage for that ? not that I'm "very interested" in Asian Para Games but still impressive job from the organizers. I have to admit despite all other problems the TV coverage was pretty good during the Asian Games comparing to Incheon and Guangzhou (except no TV coverage for Rowing and Canoeing)

I'm quite sure we won't see any of this YOG in Iranian sport channels. they are now very busy with European football (and also our stupid football league) :wall: but if there is TV coverage for Asian Para Games which will be at the morning (and no conflict with European Football Leagues) , that's more possible.

They appointed the state broadcaster TVRI with another private-owned TV to produce the event broadcast. Earlier this year they claimed that the broadcast will be available internationally IF there are other countries which are willing to broadcast the Games...

I tried to email the APC, let's see whether they will reply or not

Last time they were mixed randomly, for example the male air pistol winner was mixed with the last ranked in the female event and so on...Youth Olympics at their finest

I can finally start to see the stream schedule on the Olympic Channel. It’s gonna be a fun week for Olympian

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
    • Wisła Płock just assumed 1st position after five consecutive draws. Must be first time ever a team on a five match winless streak actually moves up to league top.
    • Well ya, which is why the Egyptian and Iranian teams can shut up and dribble :P
    • The problem is, the World Cup is not a local event. Overall it's another storm in a teacup. LGBT rights in Muslim countries won't change a damn inch becuse of one soccer match in Seattle
