Thats crazy too me! Insane IOC is choosing and picking who they are okay with politicizing the event.

Hersakevych asked IOC yesterday: why if that was Ok, you do not allow my tribute?

They had no proper answer so he insisted. I do not see his DQ ligitimate under these circumstances.

Wyatt out of the medals already?

Still got a chance but he was never a real medal threat for me, was slow in training and at the test event in November. Just a track he doesn't gel with.

Heraskevych goes to TAS/CAS

:LAT has already appealed.

According to Vlad`s father:

Support was also expressed by the Korean national team, the Danish national team, the organizers of the Olympic Games, and representatives of Italy. They came up to us, wished us luck, and said they were very sorry. There were so many, I can't list them all.

If anyone has been forgotten, please forgive me, as emotions are running high right now. But we received a lot of support from the coaches and athletes of the German national team, the United States national team, Brazil, and many other countries.

British Olympic skeleton champion Elizabeth Yarnold commented on Vladislav Heraskevich's disqualification from the 2026 Olympics for violating the IOC's ban on the use of “memory helmets.”

"It's really shocking. Many members of our skating community immediately got in touch. There is shock and incomprehension.

I am truly surprised by the reaction to what was an act of remembrance and extremely emotionally important to him.

I believe the IOC should apologize. It was the wrong decision. He was also a medal contender. He is a phenomenal athlete," said Yarnold.

He was counted as one of the more likely to get :GBR to six medals.

There are better chances for me. He was just hyped up because he won 2 World Cups this season but neither were on the Olympic track where he's struggled.

So the Ukrainian athlete went against the IOC's rules and refused to compromise. He was rightfully disqualified.

Remembering for dead friends Is against IOC rules? It has a lot of athletes: Shea in skeleton in 2002, Krpálek in judo and many others.
