CCB 489 Posted August 19, 2023 #393 Share Posted August 19, 2023 What a memorable evening for the Netherlands. Everything went according to plan today: both hockey teams won and gold in windsurfing ... but then we didn't know that finishing on an athletics track is suddenly very difficult for us. Hopefully next year we will get some revenge with Olympic medals on the 10k and the 4x400 mixed. Oh, and thanks for the fun jokes in this thread. That keeps us going this evening NearPup, Josh, rafalgorka and 2 others 3

All the way across the world for DQ would be very harsh. The back of his uniform has a gorgeous Latin American-style mural on it as well. The “easy way” to fix some of that would be to cut down on the number of duplicate races, namely the m/w 4x400m. You could save some quotas that way too. “Sport has the power to change the world. Olympian1010 7,579 Posted August 19, 2023 #400 Share Posted August 19, 2023 Athletics is just about the only sport my father and I watch together. I will remember Crosser’s throw and Bol’s fall for a while. A pretty eventful start to champs at least. maestro, Josh, Topicmaster1010 and 1 other 3 1 “Sport has the power to change the world.
