Quotas from WCh confirmed. https://www.canoeicf.com/sites/default/files/quota_allocation_publication_paris2024_csl_wch_2023.pdf

Continental European Quotas for

MK1 :AUT

MC1 :NED

WK1 :IRL

WC1 :SLO

Pretty sure the Dutch Olympic Committee will not use this quotum.

That would be too unfair and quite rude towards Joris, He fairly won that quota.

If it happen, the continental quota would move to :POR with :GRE the next in line behind

Dutch athletes know that our Olympic Committee sets a higher bar. I don’t know the requirements in this particular case, but it would be something like one or two top 8 finishes in events like the World Champs or World cups.

MC1 :JPN

MK1 :TPE

WC1 :CHN (to be confirmed)

WK1 :TPE (to be confirmed)

Actually Chinese women got both golds on canoeing and kayaking, but according to qualification document, one quota maximum per gender on continental qualifier. I actually don't know if China's can choose either WK1 or WC1 or automatically allocated WC1. But Chinese media widely reported :CHN got WC1 though I can't verify it.

I’d go further and say it’s quite disrespectful towards the competition itself to decline a quota in a situation where it just means a lesser athlete will get to compete.

Really tired of the :NED NOC’s selection procedures. In an era where gaining Olympic quotas in most sports is quite difficult they are completely unnecessary.

This qualification period ICF made a change, for Paris 2024 it is always the first event the quota has been achieved, So if :CHN won first the quota in C1 it will be C1

Is there some place with the results?

If I'm on the right link, only Japanese athletes contested the MC1? if so, the event would not be valid.

So, I have put my Japanese to test and all good now. Here is the link with all results.

Results for MC1 - HANEDA Takuya (JPN), gold
Results for MK1 - WU Shao-Hsuan (TPE), 4th place as Japan and China had quotas.
Results for WC1 - HUANG Juan (CHN), gold
Results for WK1 - CHANG Chu-Han (TPE), bronze as China had already a quota at the event and Japan a quota at the discipline

    • Also it being illegal in France means the IOC will have to test everyone pre arriving at 2030 and can’t wait till they arrive at the Games to do so. I’m sure at 2028 for some sports testing will happen on site if it’s not a rule of its governing body for non Olympic events. So far only a few sports like Athletics and Boxing have that rule - I suspect others will adopt it but others might take time.
    • https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/articles/cpwj78lxypro ‘In France - one of a number of countries where genetic testing is illegal without a medical prescription due to privacy laws - the government has condemned the decision as "a step backwards". "It defines the female sex without taking into account the biological specificities of intersex individuals, whose sexual characteristics present natural variations, leading to a reductive and potentially stigmatising approach," claimed French Sports Minister Marina Ferrari.”   ‘A group of legal experts in human rights and sports have since expressed, external"urgent concern" about what they called "the regressive move toward genetic testing as a precondition of participation in women's sport" which they say "violate domestic and international laws that protect human rights and regulate the use of genetic testing and genetic information".  The group has called on athletes "to challenge the national or regional implementation of mandatory genetic sex testing, demanded by the IOC or international federations, before domestic courts, by invoking national or regional laws protecting human rights, prohibiting anti-discrimination, and regulating the use of genetic testing and genetic data".’   Domestic laws are more challenging for the IOC to deal with than CAS. Things could get complicated for a bit.
    • Except NOC’s and governing bodies have to still follow local laws. Particularly for Under 18’s there could certainly be domestic legal issues regarding associations paying for travel to other counties to circumvent a domestic ban. Child protection services don’t always act reasonable to attempts to break a domestic law.
