  1. I did more of a “excuse me?”, followed by “the hell is that!”
  2. I’m going to cancel the YOG and focus on a Summer Olympics type event. It will take place in June-Early July to act as both a hype event, and to get me through that odd time of little international sports action. I’d would still love to feature anyone’s talents just like I said before. It ultimately came down to not be able to have a good Winter YOG recreation in the amount of time I had. Some venues weren’t ready, I couldn’t find suitable mountains for the alpine events, and I wasn’t confident in the time constraints. I think the Summer Games will be much better anyways.
  3. Yeah SNL had a funny skit about that last night
  4. What’s better? A venue that looks realistic, or a venue with a super awesome playing field, but that looks comically unrealistic?
  5. Even if that team is just West England, Wrong Ireland, or the sheep shaggers that aren’t from New Zealand
  6. Hence the “with the exception ”. I just like France, and I think it’s cool that Georgia has a semi-decent team. I actually generally cheer for the British, but in commonwealth sports I cheer for other nations. Also, compare me to Donald Trump again, and I’ll show you a Brexit
  7. Yeah same for me, not appreciating the 40 mph winds right now. Typical fall night in SoCal I’m afraid
  8. I’ve tried that ?. Did go to well. I didn’t fall or anything, I just didn’t move anywhere ?. When I was younger (8-14 years old) I use to try and come up with my own versions of Olympic sports. For cross country, I would take to scooters and use them as skis ?. It actually worked pretty well and taught me basic technique if I’m being honest. For biathlon, I just add a nerf gun ?.
  9. That’s actual pretty damn for beginners . They were in the wrong discipline all along.
  10. Yep, found that out. I do a yearly cross country skiing trip in the winter. I stick to classic because skating is too hard for me. I also prefer 4 wheels to 2 wheels, since I Roller speed skate . I really like cross country, and I quite like classic since I was a distance runner. I would honestly love to try biathlon someday. For now I stick to classic technique on the skis, and skating technique on the skates .
  11. It’s not about the information, it’s about justice. We ruin his image amongst his followers and we make him pay dearly for what he did to the Yazadi. Plus, capturing him would be a milestone in our ability to combat terrorism.
  12. Those times aren’t as bad as I expected. Those are actually almost respectable times to be honest.
  13. That would be huge news if true . If he was captured and not killed, that’d be probably the biggest news of the decade.
  14. @brunamoura As an athlete, what to your prefer: Biathlon or Cross Country or Roller Ski? All three are things I wish I could do.
  15. That sir, is unhealthy. Dr.Olympian says you need to sleep
  16. @heywoodu Either you snuck back off the Brazil, or you didn’t sleep in the last 24 hours
  17. Somehow I’m willing to bet that they set the national records
  18. Ha, I was out of diapers in 2015, and not 2016 so beat it bro
  19. Well it’s safe to say that the majority of this forum is cheering for you . We can help interrupt the qualification documents and such. Just be careful with the information @heywoodu gives you, he has a reputation for telling countries they’ve qualified for the Olympics when they haven’t apparently (also, never travel with him to Tonga. He’s a dead man the moment he gets off the airplane there ??). I and many users are always looking for athletes to support, so should you need something, feel free to say something on the forum
  20. Well, I give them props for trying. Who’s what will happen . However, as someone who Roller speed skates, I can say it will be tough. In the first month their times will improve a lot. However, it takes at least at few months to really start to understand good form. It also requires different muscles than figure skating, and different skates with thinner blades obviously. I’ve been meaning to do a speed skating update, so thanks for reminding me.
  21. Yes, the IOC is giving the FIS less quotas this time. Athletes of your caliber should be completely fine unless they do something really dramatic. You will probably need to be the best Brazilian though.
  22. Into to something completely useless. I understand the reasoning for it, but having 20 countries in the relays instead of 15 didn’t really make a huge impact.
  23. @hckosice I’d say with 95% certainty that will have a women’s bobsled in Lausanne . She might even be an outside contender for a medal Some good news for @Wumo and @Agger as well. has a very talented men’s skeleton athlete who finished 7th in the first of 8 qualification events.
  24. Yeah, I’m hoping against hope that the IBU reverses that policy for Beijing 2022. I’d love to see at the Olympics again.
