  1. The moustache of that official
  2. I do love the Space Jam shirt though. Space Jam
  3. Cool Any idea who else will be there?
  4. Rough words without reading more about him. Even a Californian Native American professor writing about him (whose words in this matter are a lot more valuable than ours, I assume) said "Serra's intentions were honest and genuine", and he acted from the actual belief that the souls of these people would be doomed otherwise. Nowadays obviously we know that's nonsense, which makes it easy to judge now. And before a new war or something starts (since I know how easily this can be turned to "Oh so you think it's good that thousands of natives died?!"): no, I'm not saying it's good he did what he did. Just saying it simply is not as black and white as some people are trying to make it look (as so often is the case). Interesting matter though, I'll read more about what people like this Native American professor - whose words I value more than that of others in matters like this - have to say about him.
  5. Thanks. At least the Olympic cycle is shorter now, which in this case is a bit of luck...it's rather bad to make such significant alterations to the program within the Olympic cycle it's about, but December 2020 isn't after Tokyo 2020 anymore
  6. So this will be decided somewhere this year I suppose? I mean, it's already late to change the sports programme so drastically, surely they're not going to wait until 2021 or even worse, 2022?
  7. Maybe by answering Strongly disagree to stuff like "What happens in a private bedroom by two consulting adults is not the state's business" and Strongly agree to stuff like "Astrology accurately explains events"
  8. Sigh, not expecting flights from Brazil to be going to Europe (for regular people) anytime soon...as in, this year.
  9. The way they ask it, it can be seen as "Humans have many superior qualities compared to dogs, dolphins or spiders", which we do (also we have many inferior qualities, no doubt ). I know those are different species, and not races, but the 'different humans' (for lack of a better term) are not entirely and always seen as different races neither, but ethnicities. Does 'our race' (whites, in my case, blacks, latinos etc in other cases, assuming they mean ethnicity) have many superior qualities? No, of course not
  10. Four people who I thought had pretty different views, all in the same quadrant...
  11. As opposed to...televising it without going pay-per-view, trying to make it seem like a heavyweight world title fight in boxing. I know quite a lot of cycling fans in the Netherlands were definitely going to watch, because it's the first real race in a long time, but now they (we) will probably do so in...let's say, another way
  12. Awesome, now we get to statements that are not about opinions, but are simply a matter of seeing if you've got your facts straight Astrology accurately explains many things.
  13. A significant advantage of a one-party state is that it avoids all the arguments that delay progress in a democratic political system. -- Yes, that can definitely be seen as an advantage, but saying 'Agree' is like saying you think a one-party state is a good system. I really don't think it is, but if one has to name an advantage of a system like that, it could be this. It's like saying "An advantage of that annoying neighbour being killed is that he's not being annoying anymore." That might be true on a purely literal basis, but it doesn't at all outweigh the general disadvantags (like, you know, someone being murdered).
  14. I wish there was an option for 'Neutral', some things really are not just either one way or another.. People with serious inheritable disabilities should not be allowed to reproduce. Yes, everyone should have this right, basically. But it is not an evil thing to at the very least discuss if it's humane to reproduce knowing there's a high risk of your child getting a serious disability entirely because of your genes...
  15. Yeah, but humans being divided in seperate races is a rather tricky issue in science, there's not a lot of consensus about. I'm assuming what they mean is not race, but ethnicity, because it's the most likely option, but they could have been clearer
  16. And this one is rather tricky. Our race has many superior qualities, compared with other races. I strongly agree when race is being seen in the way it's supposed to be seen (ie, humans as a whole, 'the human race'), but I strongly disagree when instead of race, they mean ethnicity
  17. I wonder how unbiased it is when statement one is already something where it's basically "so if you answer this, ok you're in favor of humans, if you answer the other way, you're clearly against humanity"
  18. Hahahaha. First class opportunists Gubay
  19. A video being presented like this already makes it look as shady as possible I tried to watch it, but the parts with subtitles go way too fast and the parts without subtitles are impossible for me to understand, so to anyone who watched (preferably someone non-Indian and non-Chinese ): is this as biased as I think it is judging by the thumbnail?
  20. Although I prefer to distinguish it by one being a sport and the other being nothing but cheap theater
  21. Awesome! How about Mijain Lopez?
  22. I don't much care what they end up with, as long as it's not a semi-multi-sports event that isn't really separate European championships but also isn't really like a European Games - which is what we've got now. Having a full-blown European Games is fine for me, not having any combined thing is perfectly fine for me as well, they just have to make up their mind.
