  1. Ah, so RIP Norwegian drivers in 2026 or so.
  2. Best sprinter of all time: absolutely no way at all, not even anywhere near it. I would, however, name him as one of the best cyclists of all time without much of a doubt. Calling him the best sprinter of all time (or even one of the best sprinters of all time) is 1) not really true and 2) takes away from his qualities which are so much more than just sprinting.
  3. Man I really gotta catch up with this. A few years ago I started watching all his videos, starting at A, but at some point I started to forget it and now there's so much to catch up
  4. When looking at myself only? 8/10 at least
  5. He doesn't When he mentions the steeple he says "Usain Bolt isn't doing the 3k steeple, is he?" as a sort of point as to why a 3k super final is a bit of a weird thing in a sport where it's mainly about shorter distances. I know, not the best comparison at all (apart from Bolt also not doing 100m's anymore ), but it was definitely not something against the steeplechase
  6. No more 3km 'super final' at the Dutch allround championships, and there's talk about it being discussed for the European and World Championships as well. https://www.schaatsen.nl/nieuws/2020/december/superfinale-afgeschaft-op-nk-allround-shorttrack-usain-bolt-loopt-ook-geen-3000-meter-steeple/
  7. Landslide in Norway in the middle of the night, with at least ten people missing. So far only helicopters and drones are even able to get there (Ask, north of Oslo).
  8. Truly magnificent match between Van Gerwen and Cullen, who has just missed a match dart.
  9. Damn.. Any report on that I could read? Google Translate will fix the language issue.
  10. That was some run by Cochran-Siegle
  11. Yeah as soon as I read it I was already feeling sorry for you I'll save an extra beer or two for you.
  12. And apparently it's been fixed in Polish favour indeed: tests are negative and the whole qualifying has been thrown overboard to make an exception that fits the organizers better. As if they'd have done this for, say, the likes of Zografski, Soukup, Aigro or Dean. Oh well, good for the strength of the competition of course, let's see if they can turn their incredible post-Christmas luck into something good.
  13. That wind yesterday before run two Good thing there were no spectators allowed already, that could have ended up badly. Hopefully at least it'll be better today so we can see some action.
  14. Wait, what? The whole system would be thrown overboard to save a few jumpers? That must be a first, sort of.. Start list is out by the way, I'd find it incredibly odd if they suddenly just disregard the entire qualification... http://medias4.fis-ski.com/pdf/2021/JP/3005/2021JP3005SLR1.pdf
  15. Just saw the Polish news now, damn. Zyla and Kubacki out are such a shame for the competition and Stekala out while in the shape of his life is just sad
  16. Evans is 7 out of 8 when having a finish under 100 and set his by far highest average ever on TV...this loss really is not on him, he played great.
  17. I really hope we'll see her back in shape at some point, it's always tragic when someone is out for so long
  18. It's insane what Van Gerwen is doing, throwing at nearly 110 average and a 90% finishing rate, there's absolutely nothing one can do against that. And Evans is really not playing bad, at all.
  19. Gabriel Clemens keeps on going with his 2020 and kicks out the world champion
  20. Wait what, why would they do that other than in the USA where probably every drop that's been tested has been BREAKING NEWS? Vaccination is probably going to start here in two weeks or so and I really hope they won't have that exaggerated stuff of showing things like 'the first vaccination' and so on (you know, since whoever they show isn't the first anyway) And here too it will be the important people first, meaning healthcare workers and people working directly with patients.
  21. Chatting with a coach could be possible, but I very much think it's more likely to be because of some 'forced' rest He wasn't even last, btw And just like in Neumayer's case, the skier before Monsen didn't finish
  22. Neumayer needs to improve by 10 minutes or so and then he'll be competitive It was because Brice Roger fell and Neumayer had to wait somewhere on the course.
  23. Bit late, but since it's still Christmas: Merry Christmas to everyone here
  24. And then Jason Lowe of all places beat Michael Smith. Fair play to Lowe, he played excellent and it definitely wasn't just because Smith didn't really turn up, but man...he beat the 4th ranked player and still there was not a single sign of any emotion. It can hardly get any more...dull.
  25. That is seriously how media are reporting it?
