Live platform seems fine so far today. One issue still though, playback only goes back about an hour when the stream is still live. I thought I'd watch the Dutch in the tug of war at breakfast, but now have to wait for the medal ceremony (luckily I didn't see who's in there) to be entirely over to be able to watch the beginning

Yeah I ended up just watching the results, unfortunately. One of the sports I would actually be able to understand easily (first to the finish wins, I have no idea if some dancer is doing good or something ).

Did anyone actually watch lifesaving today, btw? I'm watching the on-demand broadcast now, the first final was fine, but after that, the video is just absolutely fucked up and outright unwatchable (especially with sound on)....

I do like it though I mean, certainly not as invested as I am in the Olympic, but there certainly are some sports I'd like to watch for a bit (even if only the finals), which I know I'm not gonna be following during their regular seasons or something.

Looks like the live/on-demand platform is somewhat back on it's feet? Not entirely yet, as certain replays simply won't load (as in, they don't react when clicking on it, the first Archery session for example).

Just turned on my first stream, - in the korfball, absolute horror show. I mean, 2-0 for Portugal so far so that ain't good but mostly the quality....it is constantly stopping and, way worse, the sound is all the time giving those super loud, high-pitched squeeks and bleeps for lack of better words to describe them, yikes.

A bit of karate finals, probably only to be disappointed like in Tokyo (I came in thinking it was the kind of combat sport where it's about fighting as hard as you can, instead of in sort of a controlled manner). For sure the first group match in korfball, gotta do my parents proud of course (without korball I wouldn't exist, so..), and some of the live saving out of curiousity.

Ouch, 42 goals against in 45 minutes is beyond painful. Don't get me wrong, no hard feelings towards the players and I'm sure they did their best, but yeah....that's like a 20+ to 0 football match, which you just don't see at any significant level..

At least in swimming and figure skating in those cases the last competitions in those events were still the ones deciding the main medal Gold first is also just bad for those who play the bronze medal match....l mean, usually that's kind of a nice warm up for the big final, doing it after the final kind of feels like someone giving you a dessert consisting of a bowl of what 25 minutes earlier was still ice cream, but is now largely a molten mess

Meanwhile in the men's floorball, the host quota results in, well, pain. Finland - China, 42-0. It's almost beyond me how that is even possible...there's 60 minutes of play, so one team is just so bad that even holding on for at least 2 minutes in between goals doesn't work... Finnish women beat Canada 36-0 by the way. I've heard the Canadians may be protesting the distinct lack of ice on the field of play, but not sure that protest will be accepted.

Results system isn't working entirely well yet Like: If you click on the score (or a team or whatever), you get to the respective page. However, if you try to open it in a new tab (which would be useful and personally I do all the time, or else you need to go back and forth all the time for every single page and can't easily open multiple ones at the same time)........computer says no:

Yeah, just keep neutral thumbnails, for the love of your deity of choice. Also, please, no bullshit like highlight markers in the progress bar (like NOS often does).

That would be a tremendous help though, that takes away the annoying part of seeing an event in the timetable, thinking "cool, gonna watch that", only to realize that one isn't being streamed anywhere.
