  1. I really don't know why (it's certainly not because I share his first name), but somehow I've always found 'Martinot-Lagarde' one of the prettiest names in athletics Too bad he's done now, it made me cheer for him
  2. That's one L fewer, so we can handle that
  3. Jack Alexy with a casual 45.95 split, Jason Lezak eat your heart out.
  4. Russian WR would have been fun
  5. Good that she didn't get the 800 free then, it's a bit too early in her career yet to be ahead of Sjöström (and tied with Phelps for 5 individual golds)
  6. Right, forgot that the women's individual races were also going to end on a massive anticlimax Oh well, the event was certainly interesting until now
  7. Again only 4th for 12-year old Yu. A year of punishment training incoming.
  8. Yeah, definitely more so than the answer I once posted to someone's question on a Dutch forum, right before the final of the men's 200m breast in the Rio Olympics. Question was "Who are the favourites?" and my answer, yeah... At least today it was lane 1 instead of 8
  9. Well that is the most anticlimactic individual men's final one could possibly imagine.
  10. Right, we switch from the testosteron bombs of the sprints to....30 relatively calm laps
  11. Tossed it wrong, I think But thanks!
  12. Happy with Meilutyte, can the Lithuanians now throw back some good vibes towards Van Wijk?
  13. King 5th and outside of the medals. Oh no, how sad, never mind.
  14. Finally the last time we'll see Lilly King race.
  15. I mean, that would not have been enough for the top-60. I see flags of Zambia, Honduras and Antigua & Barbuda with faster times than that
  16. I just hope Van Wijk keeps growing. Go on to 2,30 meters and maybe we win!
  17. Mostly that. I mean, when going to a match, it gets rather tiring to hear the same 3-4 default jingles be pumped out again and again and again It's kind of like going to the recording of a comedy show and then having the 'Laugh now' signs for the audience decide whether or not something is funny or the 'Applause please' sign to decide whether or not someone should get applause I know it may be me though, I'm just not a fan of people deciding how my reaction is supposed to be.
  18. How about Kyle Chalmers swimming a 48+ split?
  19. One gold, four silvers and one bronze counts up to six total medals, but still, I wish we got there (although I'm certainly satisfied with how it's going for )
  20. Better than the rather inspirationless "here comes the boom! here comes the boom, boom, boom!" or the ever repeating "monster block" thingies?
  21. I wonder who will skip the Olympics in order to attend
  22. Yeah, that isn't years ago, is it?
  23. Thanks! Meanwhile I have managed to enter everything I wanted into my own calendar with the timetable page, so it all worked out
  24. Ah, they changed it, thanks. Usually they do that quickly, now it took them at least 5 minutes
  25. 48.92 for McLaughlin-Levrone in the 400m in Eugene. Jacory Patterson wins the men's race in 44.16, with a 4th place for Vernon Norwood, who I assume can go for his one hundred billionth relay medal.
