  1. TISC wouldn't be TISC if after three votes, we had nine different medal winners I feel like that has happened more often than not.
  2. Oh damn, even coding the scoreboard. Hungary is taking TISC a level higher with the professionalism Out of pure curiousity, is it possible to see some of the Python coding somewhere after the contest is all done and dusted? It'd be a great opportunity to learn a bit
  3. Word of advice/caution: I hope you quadruple-checked everything, having to spend the entire lunch break and more to fix ALL the scoreboards that are yet to come because you mixed up one thing in one result is no joy
  4. Blanka Vas is being fantastic though, if anyone can put Hungarian mountainbiking on the map, it'll be her!
  5. Never mind, this was awful, they basically missed the deciding part What a finish though!
  6. His 79th pro win and his first since 2019, when he won Paris - Roubaix and two Vuelta stages. Interestingly, the 4 Jours de Dunkerque is where he took only his 6th pro win back in 2005.
  7. One bit of tradition is mostly going to be gone though: RAI is no longer producing the broadcasts RAI's producing team in cycling is mostly known for being able to mess everything up at the slightest hint of rain in the distance, as so many Italian races - the Giro especially - have shown in the previous years. At least stormy weather makes it heroic
  8. Doesn't look like anyone saw that coming at all, damn. Leading the team standings isn't enough, I guess..
  9. I know this time of year not everyone will be close to being at the same level of fitness, but still, Karlsson coming in and doing this even for an exhibition race isn't much of a great sign for biathlon
  10. Wait what, Frida Karlsson is apparently able to hit 80% in the shooting?
  11. This whole Tour of Hellas is being a tragic comedy The Prades thing, on Friday half the lead group crashed in the last turn and yesterday there was a bunch sprint on this nice wide road.
  12. Yeah, basically. Because of these Portuguese teams, the races in Portugal are (or were, I guess) absolutely fantastic to watch. It was often pure comedy gold, with riders literally sprinting up on sleep stopes in ways you'll never see on the highest levels. Time and time again it was so blatantly obvious, it was just hilarious. Teams like W52, Efapel, Louletano and Radio Popular, riders like Amaro Antunes, Joni Brandão, Gustavo Cesar Veloso (yes, Spaniards too), there wasn't even an atttempt made to hide it It was hilarious to watch, but that'll be over now. Let's see what the 'next Portugal' will be in cycling
  13. Sometimes teams could at least try to make things less obvious The only surprise is it took this long.
  14. Besides snow being cold, there's also this shocker.
  15. Easter Monday last week was an excellent moment to listen some music, you know, with no work and such It got me underway to finish in time
  16. Oh wow, now that's some valid excuse Congratulations, I hope everything is going well with all of you!
  17. It's unbelievable how bad the commentary is at times...."Kazakhstan is in trouble, same for Switzerland and Poland...and it's Greece that's out". In an elimination race. An individual elimination race. Come on, is knowing the names of the 20something athletes too much?! And they don't follow qualification results in things like the time trial or pursuit neither, being all surprised when a known strong finisher makes up time in the end or something like that.
  18. I entirely agree about 5 May! We have a free Monday for Easter and Pentecost of all things, like anyone really knows what on earth Pentecost is even about I'm fine with having them as free Mondays, but 5 May is much more logical indeed. On the other hand, it feels like every other week Bruna tells me this or that doesn't work in Brazil either because it's the umpteenth holiday or because "people are free on Thursday so nobody will work on Friday just for one day"
  19. Today it's 77 years since the 1st Canadian Motorcycle Regiment liberated my little town of Nunspeet from the Germans As always, there'll be a small ceremony at the local monument in town tonight
  20. I meant going there And yeah I just noticed that it starts with a regular stage and then a short time trial, I thought it would be the opposite, but this is an interesting way of changing things up
  21. Aren't you going to watch the opening stage?
  22. Which didn't make much use of it though...
