We'd like to thank @Olympian1010 for fighting through the issues and organizing a TISC event that is as much fun as it always is in this great community!
  2. Funnily, Italy's song is the one that's still stuck in my head the most I just thought Hungary and XXX were slightly better, but it was really a hard choice between especially those three.

  4. Hello, this is the Netherlands calling! We are here to present the votes of the Dutch jury, which has thoroughly enjoyed listening to all of this year's entries! Here we go. Netherlands Calling! ITA - 10 Points GBR - 9 Points BRA - 8 Points CRO - 7 Points MLT - 6 Points ARG - 5 Points SLO - 4 Points ESP - 3 Points CHN - 2 Points GRE - 1 Points
  5. Arrived in Brazil last year, where it was consistently 30+ degrees, and I simply needed a cooler environment...so the aircondition in the hotel went on, no doubt. I knew the risk, and then felt physically shitty for almost a week
  6. Don't think I've ever had it I did have a bag of kruidnoten with 'pumpkin spice' taste, which were....alright
  7. Oh I know, but if it's those hot days where it just won't really cool down, it's like the one chance to at least feel a bit cool for a few minutes, so I'll take it
  8. Kazakhstan, Turkey and New Zealand have now also been mathematically eliminated in terms of chances to win.
  9. I've kind of exaggerated and in the past month or so bought 40 or so bags with different tastes from different shops. Recently I found two bags with a specific taste from last year, which turned out to be great....but is a taste that's not sold this year anymore. I told myself "Never again!", so now I want to taste as many as possible before 5-6 December (which is when they are going out of the shops until next year), so I can buy some extra of the tastiests ones But yeah, then I exaggerated, made an Excel and everything. When I thought 'ok, this is fine', Bruna came from the shops with a bag absolutely filled with more different bags from other shops. It never ends
  10. I'll help you out by opening yet another fresh bag of 'kruidnoten' (a kind of cookies we have in this time of year), probably with a chocolate layer around them
  11. With the 26th set of votes, we also have the first country that's eliminated from the win: there's 120 points to win, Great Britain has 123 and Israel is still stuck at 0.
  12. Like my grandma never used to say, because of course she had no idea what TISC is: the fun in TISC is not the result of your song, the fun in TISC is the fun you have along the way
  13. What the hell, no, you still need to post your 12 points! What is happening!
  14. Malta Definitely my favourite of all Mediterranean islands with weird isolate languages!
  15. To think back then there was still an entire continent named after one of the most insignificant Dutch provinces, instead of just a country
  16. Yep. Personally I mostly hate how much it influences local politics. Like, we've got the SGP, a very, very strictly Christian political party. Usually scores a very solid 2% or so, nationally, which has been hovering around that for many decades, since their base is very strong yet very....undynamic. However, in certain places, including my own, it gets to 20%+, even above 50% in some smaller towns (like one that is part of my municipality). They want to rule with the Bible in hand, which just goes so much against everything I believe in (people being free in their religion, but religious choices having no place in politics, laws and so on). And to think I know from experience it can definitely be 'normal', if people want. My own sister is Christian, yet treats everyone absolutely normal and with the same kindness. Same for her boyfriend. Heck, even my very own girlfriend is a Christian, but also the kind who doesn't try to convince others about it being the 'right' way or anything. If that was the case, she and I (a very much non-believer) wouldn't have been together for almost 6 years now But having grown up and still living in - and probably always living in - a town where it plays a huge role...yeah, a lot of people take it way too far.
