Wow! This team is not as good as it was 10 years ago but today they have played a really good game and we are a step closer of qualifying for Tokyo (hopefully it will be enough with reaching the semifinals).
 
Nevertheless, I still think that Serbia is the main favorite for the gold medal, even with a more difficult road to the final. Now we have to focus on Poland, because it will be a very tough match. ¡Vamos España!
 
PS. Argentina-Serbia will be a very interesting match to see, I hope Argentina can upset the serbians! Apart of Spain, I always root for them in basketball and I will be very happy to see both teams in SFs.

There were many surprising medallists during the championship which meant that many user's points where high on one day and low the next. Therefore the medallists in this prediction contest had to have solid predictions and consistency throughout the contest.
On that note, @Dunadan did it again. After a victory in yesterday's Water polo contest, he repeated the succes in the Swimming contest. He can now, without doubt, be declared the champion of the Aquatics WCH regarding Totallympics Prediction Contest. This is also his 3rd medal this week! What a superlative performance from him. Congratulation with another gold medal, @Dunadan! 
 
After a disappointing day, yesterday, @amen09 could be much happier today. He could see that this time it ended with a medal. Consistently solid predictions brought him a very deserved silver medal. Congrats with winning the silver medal, @amen09. Good job! 
 
What a close battle for the bronze medal! The victor of this battle ended up being @George_D, who won the bronze medal by a single point. Ouzo must be flowing through the streets in Greece after an incredicle week in the Totallympics Prediction Contest for them and their predictor, George_D.  An immense congratulation with another bronze medal, @George_D!
 
So close but still so far, must be how @OlympicsFan and @Cobi feel at the moment after missing a medal by only one point. @OlympicsFan was in the top through most of the contest, so it must be a bit frustrating to see a medal slip away by such a small margin. @Cobi was once again close of winning a medal, like in the Fencing WCH, but again he ended just shy of one. I wish both of you good luck in future contests. 
 
With the conclusion of this contest, Totallympics Prediction Contest will go on a small break before returning in full force to the Canoe Sprint WCH Contest. 
 
Once again, that's all from me, and actually this time, it's all from me in a long period because my time as prediction manager is for now over. I hope I haven't been a complete disaster as prediction manager, but if you think so, then I have good news. Totallympics' own Kiwi, @Wanderer, returns from his vacation to serve as your usual prediction manager for the next contest.

Romania is back on top of the podium. This time it's @vlad with his first medal of the year and this one is golden. @vlad never fell out of top 2 over the 6 days! So solid predictions throughout the contest. A big congratulation!  
Oh! Look who's back, last year's prediction champ, @Dunadan. He probably had hoped to win the gold medal in his comeback, but had to settle with a well-deserved silver medal. From day 3 and onward, he was on course to secure another medal to his already vast collection. Once again a solid contest from the great Italian. A huge congrats! 
 
Romania and Italy now have 3 users each with a medal this year. 
 
Speaking of comeback. WHAT A COMEBACK from @George_D on the last day! He scored a perfect 20 points, 2 perfect predictions!  He started with a 0 on the first day, but climbed up to 15th-place before the last day, where he jumped 12 places to secure him and Greece the first medal of the year. (I don't know if the is @George_D's and Greece's first medal in a Totallympics Prediction Contest? If someone knows, let me know.) Amazing bronze medal, congrats! 
 
Someone who also had a fantastic last day was @Cobi. He scored 14 points and ended with a good 4th-place. 
Also another solid contest from this year's leader, @chrischi08, but this time he had to settle with a nice 5th-place.
 
Lastly, thanks to all who participated! We now have Water Polo and Swimming left before our small summer break. There are still much to be decided in both contests, so it's going to be exciting to see who will take the medals.

Future super star of this sport has just been born. Miquel Trave of has a potential to be the best paddler of the history.
 
This guy is just out of this world. His technique and paddling skills are fantastic.
 
btw he already wrote history, becoming the first ever male paddler winning both categories C and K at the same championship. we see it among womens often, but it´s extremely rare among mens and this dude is just huge.

Gold medal for Carolina Marín . Three times World Champion! 

Carolina wins! He Bingjiao played really well the 1st set, but the 2nd and, especially, the 3rd were dominated by Marín. It has been the toughest match this week for her, but she has shown a great physical shape. I hope tomorrow she can make history again.  

Time to say goodbye to the last Danish pair/players at WCH Conrad-Petersen and Kolding. They we're defeated by #2 seeded Liu and Zhang in three sets (21-13,14-21, 21-18).
A bit disappointing WCH for the Danish team. We hoped for 1 or 2 medals, but goes home empty-handed. 
 
This also means there is only one European player left at WCH Carolina Marín. Vamos Carolina! 
Hopefully she will continue her great play. Good luck to Carolina and @Cobi

Spain has only 3 athletes selected for the European Champs that previously represented other countries. Trihas Gebre and Lois Maikel Martinez, who are married to spaniards and Orlando Ortega, who is living in Spain since he deflected Cuba.
 
So really tell me right now how much Spain relay on naturalizing athletes having three of almost 97........

Finally there won't be streaming for secondary colour pistes, so we couldn't see half matches of table of 64. For strong countries, it is not a big deal, but for Spanish fans is a pity we will not be able to watch majority of our fencers, because probably more than 50% of our team will lose in this round. Hopefully Llavador and Pereira can have a good day and reach at least T16 (I know Yulen would have to face Nikishin in T32, but he already defeated the Ukranian last year and he lost by one in Paris a few months ago).
