Qualification Tracker

Test

  1. I would definitely like to take part.
  2. Small NOCs often have no idea how qualification systems work. That's why we always have such articles, like before Rio when Malawi claimed that they suddenly received 2 wild cards for taekwondo (and yet they got 0 at the end...). Besides, this would be incredibly unfair on so many levels. How can can get 2 (!) male skiers, while most of the qualified nations can enter only 1 per gender. And how can get invited, but no and for example...
  3. Yeah, I have serious doubts about that article...
  4. Well, popular votes can be unexplainably weird. Some Dutch company apparently has a yearly award for "Best Dressage Rider", decided by a popular vote, and it was quite unknown Russian rider Marina Aframeeva that won the title. She did compete in Rio last year, but after that she took a break from sport (hasn't competed in a single competition in 2017). http://www.eurodressage.com/equestrian/2017/11/04/marina-aframeeva-named-best-rider-2017-lannee-hippique
  5. This was a very bad showing for Javier Fernandez in Beijing. I'm afraid that Spanish Winter Olympic curse might continue...
  6. Well. yeah, until you get caught and then you have to wait for another competition period.
  7. So, what, you can play with 2 doped players for free. Oh wait, "competition period" explains it.
  8. Rankings always put those with smaller resources in a disadvantage, and therefore should be avoided whenever possible...
  9. It's not all that black and white for me. If anything, athletes can look more sharp the day after.
  10. Only if it ever returns to interval start, where there's actually something to follow for the most of the race.
  11. But really, the only XC discipline that I care about these days is the interval start (ok, relays are fine too). Mass starts are so tedious, particulary skiathlons... I watched 30km interval start race from Lillehammer 1994 recently. That was just awesome.
  12. And it's not on the last day, WTF.
  13. Yuna Kim retired almost four years ago...
  14. Canada in 10th place, that's realistic.
  15. Too late. I already picked it. This is starting to sound like Gangnam Style.
  16. So, yeah, you can enter with your own cover song, as long as it is from Dutch singer.
  17. You need to send your votes to @amen09, the host. Officially the deadline is in less than one hour, but I'm sure it can be extended until the evening passes overseas.
  18. Jur voted according to the first page.
  19. I think it was the other Chilean user that didn't post a song? In any case, I think he will vote this time.
  20. votes are in! It was difficult to rank songs between 7th and 15th place.
  21. @Pabloffo @ahjfcshfghb @Janakis @Dolby @OlympicIRL @Werloc @Glen @mrv86 @heywoodu @rybak @africaboy @hckosice @justony @Jur Written reminders for everyone.
  22. Ah, I swear that cheering for Shane Rose is like cheering for Sofia Goggia. Foot-perfect start but then fell at the ditch (both he and horse are ok)...
