  1. I think you have to achieve MQS in the competition you are winning the quota. achieving MQS in other competitions is only useful for shooters who want to start in another event. A quota place can only be obtained if the result achieved by the athlete or Mixed Team in the qualifying competition where the quota is obtained is equal to or higher than the MQS for that event.
  2. Actually the "dangerous" part was only for 2 or 3 days. nothing since Tuesday. but since the problem is not solved, unfortunately I expect to see more , just nobody knows when. tomorrow, in a year, 2 years, or more. I wasn't sure what's your question, I can see that actually. even on my computer when I click on the list the destination is empty and there is no file to download ! hopefully they are uploading something. I have most of those reports already but my collection about 2008 and 2010 ABG is incomplete. btw but they are supposed to be ZIP files, I remember you had issues with the RAR file I emailed to you on your tablet. maybe you should start using a computer sometimes
  3. not a good time to ask me such questions I can't see the site full version right now. my internet is almost not working right now ! ps: you probably heard news about the internet being restored , that's true for almost everywhere except 5 states, including where I live . so maybe I can answer your question in couple of days. more or less from what I see, it seems they added more Games to their database, am I right ? the previous Asian Beach Games weren't there. even though I can't download anything. looks like there is nothing to download ?! Can you download for example 2008 ABG reports ?
  4. Yes I saw his results, can't watch anything though because of the internet situation here. but his coach is claiming he wasn't ready because he was worried about people in his "home country" !! so far all his defeats were intentional, now this is a new excuse. I wonder what they will make up next time he losses. I was a bit lazy (or not interested) to write more about him but more came out in past couple of weeks about him. the chat archive of him and one of IJF officials. he was planning for it for a long time.
  5. with IWF uploading all results from the 2nd window, they removed all those weightlifters without a result in 2nd window from their ranking list. making it shorter and a bit more understandable ! https://www.iwf.net/qualif/menu/ this is the first time they are trying a new system, while the whole system is "bad" in my opinion (mostly for forcing athletes to participate in too many events) but I see a loophole here . for being eligible in each weight you need "2 results" in that specific weight. again you need 6 results in total but 4 of them will be counted. which means you can have "Zero" score twice without losing anything. now take a look at 109 and +109 ranking, Arkadiusz Michalski (who is a 109kg) is now 8th at 109kg but 6th at +109kg !!! why ? because the level of +109kg is lower in general this year , and why he is even listed in the Super heavy weight? because once he registered for that in an event and didn't lift a thing. if he does that again for a second time, he will be eligible to qualify in this weight, and you can see he has a better chance to qualify at +109kg !!! that was just an example, Michalski most probably will qualify at his own weight of 109kg. but let's say he finishes 10th at the end and fails but still remains in top 8 at +109kg !! of course he has no chance for medal there but still participating at the Olympics is better than "not participating at all" ! if he takes that chance that will be unfair for the next +109kg guy in the ranking. this is a possible scenario. I see some other athletes in the same situation in other weights. they can qualify for the Olympics without doing anything in that specific event.
  6. the whole idea of the internet shutdown was to not let people contact each other and plan for organized protests. so I really don't know much about other cities/provinces , I mean confirmed news, rumors are everywhere. I live in a big city 20 minutes away from Tehran, since I work in Tehran beside my own town I only know about the capital which was relatively quiet. (mostly because middle class people weren't much involved in these protests) but we hear some horrific not-confirmed news. specially about Kurdish and Arabic speaking provinces. I'm sure more news and videos will come out soon in next few days. one thing is for sure the death toll is much higher than 106 reported by amnesty international. 200 or 300 maybe. and I don't think luck alone can do much, people here are facing devil from both inside and outside of the country.
  7. Azad means free in Persian, I assume it has the same meaning in Pashtun. isn't naming your horse "Free Kashmir" supposed to be political and forbidden ?
  8. while some of Iranian leaders want and need a war ( a limited war of course) but Iran is not going to start it. people who say those kind of things don't know shit about Iran. it seems Trump isn't the only stupid person in the US.
  9. This is the first time I'm hearing about this and after googling for a minute, it seems there is an Iranian Rollball committee part of the skating federation.
  10. Things are slowly getting back to "normal" (if we can call it normal) here and the internet is getting connected slowly in some cities which wasn't involved in the protests. not for me though, I'm still using my tricks and where I live (which is usually a very quiet neighborhood) will be one of the last places to get reconnected. but I assume it will happen tomorrow or Saturday. it's 5 days (and still counting) without the global internet (only access to local websites) I watched lots of TV channels, (I have most of major international news channels, BBC, CNN, Euronews) and they didn't cover much about this. but now with the internet getting connected again, I assume we will see more of horrible videos. I had seen those kind of protests in Iran twice (2009 and 2017) but this one was really violent, from both sides.but of course only one side had guns and they were brutal at least in some cities. For the first time in my life I didn't leave the house when I wanted because it wasn't safe outside, I think it was Sunday or Monday. These scars will remain for a long time and those in power should learned by now they are not facing peaceful protesters like 2009 (or as we call it 88) and since the economical situation won't get any better because of the sanctions we will see more in future. actually what happened this week (including the internet shutdown) cost country a lot financially and made things worse. but who cares, dictators want to remain in power at any cost. but the biggest loser here is Rouhani himself. people voted for him hoping he is different but in a situation like this he showed his true color. btw politics in Iran is a dead end, there is no light at the end of the tunnel. I really can't see a solution, maybe only when "this guy" dies the whole system changes since there is nobody to replace him (at least not right now)
  11. I can't see the video but Yes the total internet shutdown is true. it's like being in prison. if you ask how I'm here now, let's say I know a bit about the computers and found a way which is very slow and minimum.
  12. then Europe should stop being USA's pet and try doing something real about it beside just talking or playing good cop bad cop role. otherwise they have to deal with this later. that's inevitable it doesn't matter if Europe wants it or not. it will happen. right now the miracle USA is hoping for is to install this group in Iran ! no kidding, and if you think this article is exaggerated you are wrong. this is the Iranian version if ISIS with absolutely no support (I mean 0%) inside the country but with lots of support and LOVE they are getting from some western countries specially from people around Trump. https://www.bbc.com/news/stories-50339928
  13. or anything else right now. the USA is trying to build another North Korea by sanctioning everything from diapers to even pet food !! the only difference is Iran has long and uncontrolled borders with so many countries and things get smuggled in, but just with higher prices. one thing is for sure, things can't stay this way for a long time, it will lead to a war unless one side gives up. and I'm almost sure that won't be Iran. giving up is just not an Iranian thing. meanwhile we will see more people trying to leave the country and Europe should be ready, Iran's population is more than Syria, Yemen and Iraq combined.
  14. not possible, no company in Iran can make that happen in a short term program. and if you are thinking why not importing, that's also impossible, Iran can't even import medicine or food again because of the sanctions.
  15. the Iran economy was never based on tax, it was based on oil money, now that doesn't exist anymore because of the sanctions, they have to put more pressure on the people (which was already under pressure) to make up for that. gasoline price was always a sensitive matter here. probably more than anything else in the economy. when they take such risk that means Iran is getting ready for another 4 years of Trump.
  16. Since last night the gasoline prices in Iran jumped up to 300 percent ! 200% increase in one night, I guess you never heard such a thing.
  17. no I'm not worried about beating Hong Kong. Iran is just good in beating those kind of teams. they are small and can't match the physical play of Iran. but Bahrain is a different story. Bahrain itself is not good in beating minor teams. they even struggled against Cambodia ! but when they want to defend they are tough to beat. and they will park the bus against Iran, we have some very bad memories against Bahrain. and we also have to play Iraq at home. and it doesn't matter if they are already qualified before that match, they always play against Iran like their lives are depend on that. the only positive outcome today was everybody realized the danger, Iran will be more prepared next time. what happened here is unbelievable. they just packed and came to Amman without training at home. their first training session was in Amman and that's when our genius coach found out some of his starters are slightly injured and can't play !!!! and it was supposed to be our most important match.
  18. It was indeed painful, and the worst part is it wasn't even surprising, I was expecting this. and to be honest they deserved to lose. I was only looking at the clock in last 10 minutes ... complaining to the ref is becoming the trademark of Iranian teams. we lost the Asian Cup semifinal to Japan for the same reason (forgot the ball before the whistle and Japan scored) if you watch a local match in Iran you will have headache because of that. it's battle of complaining, and not only in football but every single sport. specially the second half was really hard to watch. complete disaster. this is a long story but during Carlos Queiroz era Iran qualified for the World Cup twice in a row for the first time. 2018 was actually very easy. that made some people to believe this is easy and Queiroz sucks and any other coach can achieve that. I think with Queiroz Iran lost only twice to Asian teams in 7 years, Wilmots achieved that number of 2 defeats only in 2 months
  19. actually that's more . the loser receives 1 point in FIBA tournaments. with losing by forfeit you receive 0. so even losing 120-29 (the way India lost to Japan) is better than losing 20-0. I highly doubt you didn't know that yourself
  20. You guys still probably remember Iran from the World Cup but this is a totally different team with a new coach, on that team players were ready to do everything for the team. they were a solid unit. but this team ?! they had only and only 2 tough (or I would say not easy) matches so far and they lost them both ! and beside that Bahrain and Iraq are the worst possible opponents for Iran, they always somehow know how to make it very hard for Iran. to me it's really hard to beat them both in Tehran. the only good thing is those 2 crucial matches will be in June next year. enough time to make some changes. because at least right now everybody realized the danger. I think 4pts from those 2 matches is the best case scenario and I was checking other groups if 16pts will be enough to qualify ?! I guess it will be or at least that's possible. I think it's safe to say 2 teams will qualify from Group A and E . 3 more runner ups will join them in the 2nd round. I think Australia, South Korea and Japan won't let runner ups in their groups to collect too much points. KSA group and also that ASEAN group look very balanced and they will beat each other. btw Saudi was down 2-1 with 5 minutes to go. but Uzbekistan choked again and lost it 3-2. they are surely the biggest choker in Asian football.
  21. A 92nd minute goal from Iraq almost eliminated Iran from the World Cup already. thanks to our stupid useless coach. who the hell hired this guy ? he came to Iran only "2 days" before the match and only after they paid him in full. I never saw such lack of commitment before the most important matches. nobody in Iran really understood how serious the situation is. everybody thought losing to Bahrain was just "an accident" and Iraq will be walk in the park. now even winning the next 4 matches won't guarantee anything. and with this team and this coach, even in packed Azadi they can't beat both Bahrain in Iraq. they will be extremely stupid to not fire Wilmots today. this guy only cares about money.

  24. but that least that's much better than losing your chance completely for reasons you can't do anything about. I asked that question because unless something extra ordinary happens tonight (or tomorrow morning), Iran is going to miss the Sabre World Cup in Egypt, for the same old reason. denying visa. they are still trying through FIE though. the first thing I checked was to see who are the hosts of the next world Cups, Italy, Hungary and Poland, none of them are notorious to create these kind of problems , so hopefully nothing bad happens. Edit: problem solved, they will miss their flight but still will make it to to Egypt in time.
  25. question, what happens if a team misses one of the World Cups ? I was checking the WR rules, and from what I saw, there are 5 World Cups in the Olympic Qualification period + World Champs + Continental Champs. and it seems 4 of those World Cups will be counted + WCh + Continental Ch. am I right ? so missing one of the World Cups won't be catastrophic as long as you get OK results in other World Cups. am I right ?
