  1. GB/Ireland shouldn't be allowed to nominate english songs, it's as simple as that, all problems solved.
  2. You mean the contest or the committee ... or both? If you would try to tell me your secrets, i probably wouldn't understand them anyway ... so it's probably for the better if you guys keep them to yourselves.
  3. Yeah, the good old inception ... i already started to wonder what Leonard Di Caprio was doing in his free time, besides saving our planet by slowing down climate change ...
  4. If not even the members know what is happening in there, then the committee itself is senseless. It is clearly a discriminatory organization and in addition to that there are are obvious flaws, for example : If in the past some other user from your country was responsible for the voting and failed to give points to the eventual winner, then you won't be able to become part of the committee, even if you yourself always gave points to the eventual winner ... right?
  5. Adel Tawil is a horrible singer in my opinion, i guess you just have to wait and see what i got for you at the next contest.
  6. Aren't you part of the committee? If yes, then it would only be logical for you to try to discredit me. If no, then you can have no clue about what is really going on up there, they probably secretly influenced us all, so that GB would win, meaning that they would be allowed to keep their seat in the committee.
  7. I hope that other users will follow my example, this elitist behavior has to stop. The committee needs some fresh (female) blood. If bestmen doesn't become part of the committee, germany won't participate at the next contest.
  8. Never heard of him ... I made an agreement with catgamer that i will be allowed to pick the german entry for the next contest, because he picked the german entry this time and i absolutely didn't like it. Now i at least know that i won't pick Holger Czukay, because that would now be boring. I wonder if any country ever finished a TSC without any points? If not, then challenge accepted ... see you at the next contest.
  9. I think that this is very dangerous, because the fact that they might be excluded from the committee (if they wouldn't have given points to the eventual winner), might have influenced their vote. They knew that GB/Ireland were most likely to win, so they decided to play it safe.
  10. Sad to see that all the committee members are men, i guess that is why the results were so clear ... I DEMAND that the best men becomes a member of the committee immediately! Otherwise i will boycott the next contest and i hope that many other users will follow my example.
  11. What is the committee? Does it have any importance for this contest?
  12. I am glad that Brazil won, i really liked their song, but for some reason i did not give them any points (i think because the music video became very weird towards the end). This way at least there will be a use for all the venues that were built for the 2016 olympics. I hope that the german delegation will be staying in Brasilia.
  13. I did not give any points to GB, Serbia or Brazil ...
  14. No, they can not, because i didn't say that i will give you 12 points, just that i am strongly considering it. Your pictures/animations have been the most entertaining thing about this thread, which is why you deserved more points, sadly almost no one honored your brilliant work.
  15. We won't agree on this topic, because you are saying that Ireland and/or GB always nominate the best sound, while most/all other countries don't, i just can't see that. The british entry this year was absolutely nothing special, if this song would have been in any other language, it never would have made the top 10.
  16. You definitely should, next time i will probably give you 12 points and if catgamer doesn't show up, you might end up with a gold medal. Without you this would have only been half the fun.
  17. Could you please slow down a bit? At this rate it's impossible to follow ...
  18. Good to know, i guess the indian accent made it too difficult to be successful on a global stage, that is why indian artists focus on the indian market and do not write their songs in english.
  19. I think a jamaican artist? You realize that i wrote ALMOST no famous jamaican artists?
  20. Yeah and you think that most users here aren't "average" music lovers? I think most people like, what the majority of people like.
  21. Yes, of course i forgot them. You have to wonder why there are almost no famous indian/jamaican/south african artists, i guess it also depends on the economic strength of a country.
  22. I don't think so, the language is the decisive factor. At least 99% of all famous british/american/canadian/irish artists wouldn't be famous, if they would sing in any other language.
  23. That is true, Sweden produced tons of great artists, in the end you almost always have to write your songs in english, otherwise it's extremely hard to become famous globally, so of course the US/GB/Ireland/New Zealand and Australia have a huge advantage. In this case i just don't think that the british song was anything special, it's an average song that i have heard a thousand times before. If this song would have been in french or spanish, no one would have cared about it.
