  1. 2 Chainz, what a legend ... Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-L_Z9pZx4Ko GQ has some really interesting videos on their Youtube channel: Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RfRclWgIOg Jon Stewart and Sacha Baron Cohen (You might not recognize him at first): Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEPSJF7BYOo
  2. Yeah ... i know that noone took them as hostages and forced them to stay away ... It has nothing to do with the host, FIS needs to do something about it, obviously the price money isnt big enough. Maybe they can "force" the top athletes to attend by changing the qualification pathway for the olympics. If you want to compete at the olympics, you have to compete at the world championships (of course unless you are injured at that time). If you win gold at the world championships you get 1000 points for the olympic ranking, if you win a normal world cup you get 50 points ... something like that. So everyone who wants to compete at the olympics either has to compete at the world championships or has to win pretty much all world cups between the two olympics, because otherwise he/she wont collect enough points to qualify for the olympics. I know that you cant force the athletes to compete at the world championships, but i think you can make it impossible/extremely difficult for them to qualify for the olympics, if they dont compete at the world championships. I think another big problem is that the world championships are so close to the X Games. FIS should host the world championships much earlier, in January or maybe even December, so that the best athletes dont have to choose between those two events. Currently none of the top athletes should choose the world championships over the X Games, if he/she is in his/her right mind.
  3. What is the sense of hosting world championships, if pretty much all of the best athletes are missing? In mens slopestyle none of those guys would have come close to the podium if all the best athletes would have competed. Its a complete joke, this gold medal has absolutely no meaning. Pretty much the same is true for womens slopestyle/halfpipe and mens halfpipe. In addition to that the course is a joke, it looked as if they built the course in the desert ... at this point they could as well give the world championships to Qatar. I think they should split the world championships up, the same way they do it at junior level: Snowboard cross/parallel giant slalom and freestyle skiing cross somewhere in Europe. Snowboard big air/halfpipe/slopestyle and freestyle skiing moguls/halfpipe/aerials/slopestyle in the US/Canada/China/Japan or maybe Switzerland (Laax). I dont know whether its possible, but it would be extremely cool if they would host the alpine skiing world championships and the snowboard cross/parallel giant slalom/freestyle skiing cross world championships in one place at the same time.
  4. Womens aerials: 22 competitors from 9 different nations Final result: 1) USA 2) Australia 3) China 4) Australia 5) Australia 6) Australia And they called it a winter sport ... Not a single competitor from France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland ... Mens aerials: 27 competitors from 11 different nations Not a single competitor from France, Italy, Germany or Austria ... Womens snowboard cross: 28 competitors from 12 different nations Out of those 28 competitors, 2 didnt start, one didnt finish the first run and consequently didnt start the 2nd run. Out of the remaining 25 competitors 24 qualified for the next round ... Not a single competitor from Austria or Switzerland ... Its sad to see that there are olympic events that dont even have 30 competitors or more than 12 different nations competing. I guess even luge is ultra-competitive compared to those sports ...
  5. Anyone here who watches Comedians in Cars getting coffee? Great show with Jerry Seinfeld as host who talks to other celebrities (mostly comedians, but someone like Obama also has been a guest) about whatever comes to their minds. One of my favorite Conan O'Brien videos: One of my favorite Stephen Colbert videos (the great part starts around 5:32 and ends at 8:22): A new kind of superhero? I think i havent laughed that hard very often in my life.
  6. Pretty funny (at least in my opinion) prank by two german comedians ... La La Land won an award in Germany without even knowing it. You need to turn on the subtitles if you dont speak german.
  7. Amazing Japan, Australia and France! Laffont, what a talent she is! The japanese guy came out of nowhere. For me moguls is a ridiculous event, its even more subjective than figure skating, gymnastics or ski jumping. I think they should eliminate the score for "clean technique", only the time and the difficulty/execution of the tricks should matter. I have to add that at least the pictures today were spectacular, i wonder how long it takes to create a moguls "track" and how expensive it it? For me aerials is also a pretty weird event, it isnt really a winter sport event for me ... i think you only have to be a good gymnast to do those tricks. It seems to be the diving of winter sports, if diving events would only consist of 2 or 3 jumps ... The fact that mostly non-traditional winter sport nations are good in aerials supports my impression, i just hope that dual moguls wont become an olympic event. I have mixed feelings about big air, on the one hand i see no reason why snowboard should have a big air event at the olympics but not freestlye skiing, at the other hand halfpipe, slopestyle and big air are just too similar in my opinion. I dont care about the results in aerials at the world championships. I hope for at least 1 german medal in ski cross and that Kelly Sildaru will win womens slopestlye, now that Lisa Zimmermann will miss this event due to injury. I also dont care about mens halfpipe/slopestyle. In womens halfpipe i hope that Sabrina Cakmakli will make the final again like she did in 2015 and maybe finish even better than 5th this time.
  8. Where is Sindo when we need him? Busy or did he just get too old for this shit? As you might already have noticed: When the cat's away, the mice will play ...
  9. All the spectators got tired and left the building already, understandably so, because there is no serbian relay. And there goes the polish relay, winning another gold for Poland. Is it just me or does it feel as if Poland is winning half of all events? The german relay better should have walked away before the start, what an abysmal performance once again.
  10. Hopefully, lets see what mood Sindo is in ... maybe we both will be a bit wiser in a couple of months ... ? Never say never ...
  11. Nooo ... the deleting has begun ... way too early.
  12. Yeah, you gotta know it ... at least better than white supremacists ... right?
  13. Yeah, that was just the warm up, you still cheer for all german athletes or was that someone else? Are there any other users from Belarus on this forum? So what do you think about Martin Fourcade winning the overall world cup again? Good for you? Please give me some update, how have you been doing lately?
  14. Which one of your posts? I read one of your comments yesterday, accusing all german athletes of doping, but sadly that comment was deleted. Is there any other post you could recommend?
  15. No, just having fun. We all try to be better human beings every day, but there are some people/circumstances that make it very hard for us ... You are certainly not the most well-behaved user on here, so its somewhat comical that you are trying to teach me here ... ever heard of self-reflection?
  16. Here? No, being an alpha here would mean having no life. Someone saying "Gurl bye" is just the definition of a beta male and looks extremely desperate. You are barely able to write one correct sentence but still try to sound cool by saying something like that, you probably watched a couple of Breaking Bad episodes and now you think you are fluent in english ...
  17. Please stop your comedy, who the hell is supposed to take someone like you seriously if you are not even able to write ONE correct sentence?
  18. No one ever said that there is no doping in Germany. See, thats how opinions can differ: I think you are ruining this forum by misunderstanding everything on purpose, so in my opinion this forum would be a much better place without you. The difference is that i dont ask you for anything, because i realized that i cant expect anything from people like you. Live and let live ...
  19. Its really sad what happened to you. A guy accusing all german athletes of doping just because he cant accept the fact that one of the polish guys was stupid enought to get caught doping during a competition, trying to take a moral high ground ... now i think i have seen it all.
  20. Yeah, saying that a comment is stupid, just because you didnt read it properly isnt an insult ... I never blamed it on Belgrade that most of the top athletes didnt show up. I blamed them for not being able to get the starting blocks to work properly, it was annoying as hell that we had at least one false false start every race and almost no one ever got disqualified, it was absolutely painful to watch. I apologize if local organizers had nothing to do with it/if this was all EAA's fault. I cant blame serbian people for not really caring about this event (tons of empty seats), because most elite athletes didnt care about it either and thats the huge problem. By the way: I understand that Tamberi couldnt compet here, but its a problem that someone like Fassinotti didnt care enough about this event to compete and instead decided to skip the indoor season.
  21. What a fishy result again. The best thing about the race was the story about the russian guy who just got to Lahti for this race by train yesterday. The race itself was the expected snoozefest and it became clear again that this event has to die as soon as possible.
  22. Those european championships are a complete catastrophe. Hopefully we wont have any major competition in Belgrade in the future. At least 1 false start in every sprint event and no one ever gets disqualified, its an absolute pain to watch this. In addition to this EAA should either stop having indoor championships at all or they should find a way that all (or at least most of the) top athletes compete. Womens 60 m: The 2 best german girls, the best british girl and Schippers didnt even compete Womens 400 m: No Grenot, Zemlyak, Diamond, Ohuruogu* Womens 800 m: No Jozwik, Sharp, Arzamasova, Lamotte Womens 1500 m: No Hassan Womens high jump: No Vlasic Womens long jump: No Mihambo, Moguenara, Proctor Womens triple jump: No Rypakova, Knyazyeva-Minenko Womens pole vault: No Kyriakopoulou, Büchler* Womens pentathlon: No Johnson-Thompson, Schäfer, Ikauniece, Vetter Mens 60 m: No Vicaut, Lemaitre, Martina*, Ujah, Gemili Mens 400 m: No brits, no Borlee brothers Mens 800 m: No Bosse Mens high jump: No ukrainian guys, no italian guys, no Onnen Mens pole vault: No Lavillenie Mens long jump: No Rutherford* Mens heptathlon: None of the best german guys * Dont know if those athletes already retired
  23. I think this jump by Ivanovic is really worth about 7.05 m, like i said yesterday: You have to subtract 10-20 cm from all the long/triple jump results, because of the floor basically being a trampoline. She is still clearly the best european athlete competing today and if the two american girls decide to take a break or retire, she might really win gold someday, unless Arneton gets there first.
  24. Level of the high jump competition is very bad without the italian, ukrainian and russian guys.
  25. The following athletes might have a chance to fight for a medal in London: Mens 60/400/800/1500 m: Maybe Kszczot (800 m) Mens 60 m hurdles: Maybe Martinot-Lagarde Mens long/high jump: - Mens triple jump: Maybe Heß Mens pole vault: Maybe Lisek or Holzdeppe Mens shot put: Maybe (hopefully not) Bukowiecki Womens 60/400/800 m: - Womens 1500 m: Maybe Muir Womens 60 m hurdles: All 3 medallists Womens long jump: Spanovic Womens high jump: The girl from Lithuania and maybe Beitia Womens triple jump: - Womens pole vault: Stefanidi Womens shot put: - So overall the level of competition was very weak.
