  1. As usual, something has been going wrong with his training for a long time now.
  2. The african athletes in mens 10 k are more used to the heat, so they won all the medals. At least the turkish guys didnt win a medal, will be interesting to see how Can will do on the womens side.
  3. Hopefully Storl will at least beat the younger polish guy, he doesnt deserve a medal. I guess the older polish guy deserves the gold.
  4. Good performance by Luke Campbell, i though his time from La-Chaux-Fonds was a fluke, but today he looked good, he just needs a bit more stamina. Dobek coming out of nowhere to put himself in the position of being the favorite for silver.
  5. But that would make it more difficult for the dutch girls ...
  6. Would be amazing if Lückenkemper could go at least 10.87 to beat Göhr, Krabbe and Drechsel, although Göhr and Krabbe ran their times of 10.88 and 10.89 with 2.0 and 1.8 m/s and i doubt that Lückenkemper will be as lucky. Her next goal should be to beat 10.91 by Heike Drechsler, but obviously that will be a huge task. Last year she ran 10.95 in prelims just to choke in semifinal. If she stays cool, she has a good chance to hold off both dutch girls and Kambundji for silver. Given how awful her start still is, it would still probably be smarter to focus on the 200 m.
  7. GBs 4 x 100 m mens relay will be lightning fast! Ujah + Gemili + Prescod + Hughes should be able to run 37 low.
  8. Haha, Lückenkemper ran 10.95 last year, the EU23 records are worthless because EAA doesnt accept many performances, you have to hand in a special form if you want your time to be accepted and most dont do that. I am also pretty sure that Asher-Smith has been faster as an U23 athlete, the same is true for Lalova, Göhr, Drechsler, Krabbe and probably some more.
  9. I am confident in my mens 100 m prediction: Hughes-Vicaut-Tortu Prescod looked good too, but probably not good enough to challenge Tortu.
  10. Historic day for cycling, one legend leaves the stage (Vogel), while another one returns to the stage (Bötticher). Now all he has to do is stay healthy, then there are no limits for him. With Grabosch back german track cycling doesnt seem hopeless, although the absence of Vogel in Tokyo will probably cost Germany 2-3 gold medals.
  11. He means that they look a bit alike, for example like Kirsten Wild reminds you of Shaun White.
  12. I can feel with you, has been the same for the german team here.
  13. That again shows the amazing control those riders have over their bikes. Also glad to see a german athlete beating a dutch athlete at a major competition, dont remember the last time this happened (across all sports), even at the water polo european championships Germany flopped hard.
  14. Very nice of Harting and Mayer. They tought "If Toth cant win gold here, we are not worthy to win gold either, so we better foul out".
  15. Typical for french people to run from a fight. Once they saw that Abele was out for blood, they got scared and fouled out.
  16. Yeah, but in U20 they use different weights in shot put/discus/javelin, so it makes no sense to compare it.
  17. How so? You realize that Artur Abele is still in?
  18. Because he is only interested in the world record? A european title has no importance for him.
  19. Thats the difference between us, you use smileys to express your humor, i dont.
  20. At least they are consistent. I think Mayer forgot how to do a decathlon, he only did triathlon so far this season.
  21. Isnt it enough that she is the best in downhill and snowboarding, why cant she just focus on one event?
  22. I am pretty sure that whoever made this prediction got something wrong concerning Kaul. Kaul was slower in the 100 m than in Götzis, but is expected to improve his PB by more than 200 points?
  23. Yes, its a shame to have good sports like swimming and cycling at the olympics games alongside dirty sports like athletics or football.
  24. Scandal in mens race walking! Junghannß got to close to Toth so the judges decided to disqualify him, the same happened in the past with german sprinters in the Tour de France who were stupid enough to beat Sagan. Slovenian bullying in sport has to stop!
