  1. Churandy Martina is happy Dafne Schippers is crappy ... Simple, but a lot of truth?
  2. Very sad that Tortu was beaten by two non-europeans, but his time will come. Organizers should be fair in the future and just allow people from all over the world to compete at the european championships. 1) What happened to Miguel Francis? 2) Will Rai Benjamin represent the US or GB in the future?
  3. So Denmark is using the home advantage. Very impressive results for France and New Zealand. For me this competition is unworthy of the most important qualifying event for the olympics.
  4. Could the polish guys please leave the track! I want to see the 100 m final!
  5. Yeah and many more (Lalova, Arron, Privalova, Schippers, Block, Thanou).
  6. Congrats to Haratyk, very bad for the sport that the other polish guy won a medal.
  7. If only the last 90 m would be timed, Lückenkemper might have won gold, but her start is just atrocious, dont remeber any race where Lückenkemper didnt have the worst start. 0.217 reaction time today, 0.06 slower than Asher-Smith. Fantastic time for Asher-Smith with no wind, she could spoil the party for the american and jamaican girls in Tokyo, although i still hope for Thompson to win double gold.
  8. Could be interesting between him and Prescod for silver.
  9. As usual, something has been going wrong with his training for a long time now.
  10. Yeah, but what is her shot put PB?
  11. The african athletes in mens 10 k are more used to the heat, so they won all the medals. At least the turkish guys didnt win a medal, will be interesting to see how Can will do on the womens side.
  12. Hopefully Storl will at least beat the younger polish guy, he doesnt deserve a medal. I guess the older polish guy deserves the gold.
  13. Good performance by Luke Campbell, i though his time from La-Chaux-Fonds was a fluke, but today he looked good, he just needs a bit more stamina. Dobek coming out of nowhere to put himself in the position of being the favorite for silver.
  14. But that would make it more difficult for the dutch girls ...
  15. Would be amazing if Lückenkemper could go at least 10.87 to beat Göhr, Krabbe and Drechsel, although Göhr and Krabbe ran their times of 10.88 and 10.89 with 2.0 and 1.8 m/s and i doubt that Lückenkemper will be as lucky. Her next goal should be to beat 10.91 by Heike Drechsler, but obviously that will be a huge task. Last year she ran 10.95 in prelims just to choke in semifinal. If she stays cool, she has a good chance to hold off both dutch girls and Kambundji for silver. Given how awful her start still is, it would still probably be smarter to focus on the 200 m.
  16. GBs 4 x 100 m mens relay will be lightning fast! Ujah + Gemili + Prescod + Hughes should be able to run 37 low.
  17. Haha, Lückenkemper ran 10.95 last year, the EU23 records are worthless because EAA doesnt accept many performances, you have to hand in a special form if you want your time to be accepted and most dont do that. I am also pretty sure that Asher-Smith has been faster as an U23 athlete, the same is true for Lalova, Göhr, Drechsler, Krabbe and probably some more.
  18. I am confident in my mens 100 m prediction: Hughes-Vicaut-Tortu Prescod looked good too, but probably not good enough to challenge Tortu.
  19. Historic day for cycling, one legend leaves the stage (Vogel), while another one returns to the stage (Bötticher). Now all he has to do is stay healthy, then there are no limits for him. With Grabosch back german track cycling doesnt seem hopeless, although the absence of Vogel in Tokyo will probably cost Germany 2-3 gold medals.
  20. He means that they look a bit alike, for example like Kirsten Wild reminds you of Shaun White.
  21. I can feel with you, has been the same for the german team here.
  22. That again shows the amazing control those riders have over their bikes. Also glad to see a german athlete beating a dutch athlete at a major competition, dont remember the last time this happened (across all sports), even at the water polo european championships Germany flopped hard.
  23. Very nice of Harting and Mayer. They tought "If Toth cant win gold here, we are not worthy to win gold either, so we better foul out".
  24. Typical for french people to run from a fight. Once they saw that Abele was out for blood, they got scared and fouled out.
  25. Yeah, but in U20 they use different weights in shot put/discus/javelin, so it makes no sense to compare it.
