    The wrong Italian team were DQ'd... it should have been the women's team.... that way Ireland can be in the final

    Wow IAAF have already updated the "top lists" with the times of the women's 4x100m relay! Now that's fast! I didn't have a full look, but Ireland seem to be ranked around #20 in the world (based on single time rather than aggregate). Qualification for the Olympics is definitely a real prospect, especially as our juniors get faster (well that's always the hope).

    One final medal chance for Ireland at the European Championships tonight with Ciara Mageean in the women's 1500m final. Not sure if she will make it onto the podium but hoping she will fight every inch

    Well great to see Iceland with a medal , but this was a mediocre event at best and not worthy of a "European championship"
