  9. IRELAND After much deliberation, I am proud to announce the Irish entry for this year's TISC Annual 2020 in Croatia. Ireland will be represented at this year's contest by Limerick band Whenyoung. The trio consists of Aoife Power on lead vocals and base, guitarist Niall Burns and drummer Andrew Flood.   11. Ahh, that’s quite a gap I guess it’s hard to argue that this is new material from 2019 since it was first released in the first half of 2018.
  12. What date in 2018 is the album from? And what date in 2019 was the single released? If they are close together I would be inclined to say ok you can use it.

For multi-member juries with 4 or more members, that jury can decide to allow each member to award points using the format 18-15-12-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 or they can choose to use the standard format of 12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. Before the voting period begins, the jury will discuss which format they want to choose and then post on thread to say which format will be used. Each member will then submit their votes to the host as usual and the scores will be combined as normal.

Croatia has 7 tickets and the United States have 1 ticket.   21. Actually Slovakia hosted as they came 2nd behind Germany and Germany turned down the hosting rights Oh wait, that was Denmark that hosted then. You are right lol I don’t remember how Slovakia got the hosting duties . They finished 4th and all top 3 declined maybe?
  22. Ok so both candidates who entered the race to host this contest initially have said they are still interested. Therefore in my mind it is clear one of those users should host. So do we conduct a repeat of the random draw again like we had before except without bestmen this time of course. @dcro and @Olympian1010 do you agree to that format? You both have a designated amount of tickets like before? I think it’s fair to re-run the initial race.

The host had to be removed from his duties after refusing the participation of another user. As such, I have locked the TISC Annual 2020 thread until we figure out where to go from here. First thing to say is that the contest will certainly go ahead. Secondly, I hope to have the contest back up and running sooner rather than later as we already have many nations with entries submitted. But the contest won't be rushed either for the sake of it. So we will allow a chance for any users who did not want to participate in the contest previously to now come onboard and take their place in the contest. Hopefully all of those who boycotted the event can now get behind the contest once again. The most important thing then is to decide what to do about hosting. @dcro and @Olympian1010 previously submitted bids for the contest. I don't know how interested any of you would be on taking up the mantle in such short notice. I also understand that hosts want time to prepare content to welcome us to their country so I would never want to make it feel like a host has to take a second hand experience of hosting. But I do feel it's the legitimate decision to at least give them a say on whether they want to take this over or not. I am also open to suggestions regarding the hosting and in general about how to get this ball rolling again. I will volunteer myself for hosting duties also if it is needed. Thanks for your understanding and I really would appreciate your guidance here. OlympicIRL
