Pan Am Sports has oficially scheduled Pan Am Jr. Games for 2021.

This will be a U-21 competition, with the winners of each event gaining a quota for 2023 Pan Am Games in Santiago.

The host will be chosen in March this year, with NOC's having this month to submit a bid. Currently, three countries have expressed interest: Colombia, El Salvador & Mexico.

I wonder which city in my country will be submitted as candidate? IMO, only Monterrey, Tijuana & Guadalajara have the economy, venues and capacity to host them in such short time. Of course, I wouldn't count on my city being selected, after such a shameful record of retiring (2018 YOG) or resigning (2017 World Aquatics Championship), so it could be good if the other two cities could step up.

Since last year Pan Am Sport showed interest in creating those games( I read also Pan Am Beach Games ) so I'm glad they decided to schedule them..

I read Cali will be submitted as candidate for Colombia(Well, the info is from months ago, everything changes). San Salvador will be the undisputed host city proposed by El Salvador. I think it's the opportunity of Guadalajara to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Guadalajara 2011 Pan American Games. I would like Monterrey to contend for Pan American "Senior" games.

I only pray that Mexico will continue with its desire to be an alfitrion. There have been changes in our country in a couple of months and there are winds of austerity.

Shocked results in the women competition at the Russian championship

    1 Anna Shcherbakova 229.785 (14 years old)

    2 Alexandra Trusova 229.712 (14 years old)

    3 Alena Kostornaia 226.543 (15 years old)

    4 Stanislava Konstantinova 212.924

    5 Alina Zagitova 212.031 (Olympic champion 2018)

6 Sofia Samodurova 209.776 (Started in the Grand Prix 2018 final)

7 Evgenia Medvedeva 205.901 (Silver olympic medalist 2018).

    Elizaveta Tuktamysheva didn't participate.

No one from top-3 can't start at the European Championship 2019 because they didn't reach 15 years old for the moment of the official start season (1 July 2018)

Russian new talents are wonderful..... Kostornaia is so in sync with the music, I fallen in love with her style.

I think Alina is able to get the gold in the European Championship 2019.

Welcome to Totallympics new user @RiSeGwangFan feel free to enjoy and post on our forum.

I am curious as to why you like so many Korean athletes though, if you don’t mind answering that question. (I myself have a soft spot for athletes from Kazakhstan, Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein)

Hi! Thanks!! :)  I started to love the North Korean sport from Beijing 2008, mainly by Hong Un Jong winning gold in artistic gymnastics, defeating the favorite and local, the talented Cheng Fei. I researched more and learned from his past achievements in that sport, from the achievements of Kim Gwang Suk and Pae Gil Su.
Since then I am supporting them in the championships, Ri Se Gwang whom I admire for the great difficulty of his vaults, this year he became three times world champion in his favorite apparatus. In Diving since I saw Kim Kuk Hyang I am rooting for her, I knew that I would defeat my compatriots, and that's how it was. I also support athletes from other countries, I missed many of my own country, I just wanted to make the most of those athletes who are often marginalized, maybe because they are not the best or because they are from where they are.  I would like them to someday know that not only in their own nation are there people who support them.

    Hong Su-jong :PRK

Hong Su Jong had troubles by the age later, but it was responsability of PRK federation, so both team (WAG and MAG) were banned. Hong Un Jong(The twin of Hong Su Jong) who could win easily a medal in Vault in London, Kim Kuk Hyang a really nice beam worker, Cha Yong Hwa a very talented bars specialist, They lost the chance for get a spot like team in London. Sad...They were before banned because Kim Gwang Suk's fake age. This time was just WAG.

I don't know what to think about Zeng. This is the second doping case in rhythmic gymnastics this year (after :KAZ Sabina Ashirbayeva), what is really surprising since this sport had very few convicted dopers in the past.

It's same in Artistic Gymnastics... I know the case of  Andreea Raducan   :ROU  and Luiza Galiulina. :UZB

    Some new information regarding Gonzalez:

*Sample was taken on October 17th by the National Antidoping Committee, as a surprise test asked by WADA.

*Both, Mexican NOC and Athletics Federation were notified of a positive result some days later, tough the information was not made public until November 16th.

*The athlete's defense team is alleging that the positive was due to consumption of tainted meat, as the prohibited substance is known to be used by Mexican ranchers are known to use it to feed their cattle.

Pray for Lupita! I hope see her in Lima and Doha.  :pope:
