  4. As we are heading into an Olympic year, I thought it might be interesting to look at the growth and development or decline of all the sports at the next olympics from a British perspective. However my knowledge of the actual sporting federations is limited, so my development rankings will mainly be done on results. (Specifically 2019 vs 2023), but feel free to add any comments you may have.
  5. This is also the same England that beat Sweden 4:0 and Norway 8:0, and I'm sure we can agree that Scotland are worse than both those teams.
  6. You're right, but if Netherlands had got into that position vs Scotland, then I'm sure that the scottish desire would have gone also.
  7. I agree with the second paragraph, and I think that if UEFA want to add any validity to the competition they need to add VAR, as there have been many contentious decisions affecting all teams in this group, which most certainly would have affected the group table.
  8. Seems a bit unfair, the match in Sunderland was a bit of an anomaly, but there is a huge gap between England and Scotland. Additionally, in the UK media, there has been a lot of talk about how scandalous it would be if Scotland gave it to England. Watching the game, It is unfair to say that Scotland haven't been trying as they most definitely have been. They it may look like that haven't been trying during the last 3 goals but it has been unrelenting pressure from England, They have been laser focused on this and clearly want it, I don't think they have celebrated or even smiles after any of the goals, just bringing in back to the center circle for a rapid kickoff.
  9. The national pride of the Scottish team beating England far outweighs playing for GB, so I can't see Scotland letting England scoring any easy goals.
  10. Water Polo Men's Tournament 2019 FINA World League - 2019 World Championships - 2020 Olympic Qualifier - Women's Tournament 2019 FINA World League - 2019 World Championships - 2020 Olympic Qualifier - Changes +13 -13 -26
  11. Open Water Swimming NB. I am going to skip swimming as there are a lot of universality quotas from many nations which won't really affect the overall changes. Men's 10km Open Water Qualified from 2019 Worlds - 2x, 1x Qualified from Olympic Qualifier - Women's 10km Open Water Qualified from 2019 Worlds - 2x, 1x Qualified from Olympic Qualifier - Changes +2 +1 -1
  12. I agree, in fact, I think there should be more in some sports. eg. Team Gymnastics.
  13. No, but I thought that often host nations get a lot of quota benefits and it would be interesting to see without.

  17. Seeing the qualifying taking place for Paris and "unfair" quotas given to NOCs in some sports, I am going to try and create an alternate qualifying scenario if continental quotas (and host ones), were discarded and reallocated to everyone, just to see what effect that would have. Where possible, I will try to highlight some medallists that would not have qualified.
  18. Looking at everyone else's lists, my chances seem a bit too optimistic. What do you think @Grassmarket , @Rafa Maciel?

  20. How many medals do you think it is realistically possible for you to win at Paris 2024 if everything went to plan. Obviously, don't make any completely unrealistic predictions, but try to give a best case scenario.
  21. Just emailed British Cycling for their take on the situation, I will update if I hear anything.
  22. Maybe they can give it to them both. Think Iwa Swoboda and Dina Asher-Smith 100m world 2023.
