  1. Yeah off the top of my head, this is how many medal chances we have in short track for the next Olympics if it was to be held today Men’s 500m - Dandjinou, Dubois, Pierre-Gilles Men’s 1000m - Dandjinou, Dubois Men’s 1500m - Dandjinou, Dubois, Dion Men’s 5000m Relay Women’s 500m - Kim Boutin Women’s 1000m - Kim Boutin Women’s 1500m - Kim Boutin Women’s 3000m Relay Brunelle could possibly develop before then and get herself in the mix, as a recent multiple World Junior Champion, and Sarault too if she can regain her form prior to injury.
  2. Pan Continental Curling Championships | Lacombe, Alberta, Canada Men 1. China 2. Japan 3. United States No on the podium Women 1. Canada 2. South Korea 3. China missed out on the playoffs, shockingly! Full Results
  3. Team Homan win gold at the Pan Continental Curling Championships, defeating Team Gim 6-5 with a steal in the 10th end!
  4. Gold for our women’s 3000m relay during the second week of the Montreal WC! Sweet sweet revenge on last week, they got a penalty in the final and crossed the line first.
  5. Yeah, you mentioned it already, by Winter Olympics I meant the senior Winter Olympics, not overall
  6. Gold and silver for Steven Dubois and William Dandjinou in the men’s 500m during the second week of the Montreal WC!
  7. Wow, Bozdağ!! Maybe Turkey’s first winter Olympic medal is on the cards for Milano-Cortina 2026?
  8. As far as 250s go, they’re definitely weaker than during the beginning of the season, but the Hong Kong field has Shnaider, Boulter, Fernandez, and Kenin, I would say that’s decent… Merida on the other hand… well
  9. William Dandjinou goes back-to-back in the men’s 1500m during the 2nd week of the Montreal World Cup!
  10. I’d rather see breaking get added back to the Olympic program than this shit form of hockey, and that says a lot coming from someone like me… If it does, you can count on me not watching a single match even if Canada is in a medal match (not sure which nations are good at this, but I’d have to assume Canada is among them in both genders)
  11. Elena Rybakina hires Goran Ivanisevic as her new coach for the 2025 season! Didn’t expect Goran to coach her, so far he’s only coached men.
  12. Another two WR’s so far in Singapore, and Marchand’s is arguably the most impressive ones of the entire Series (alongside Douglass’s recent one probably) Leon Marchand smoked Ryan Lochte’s WR (1:49.63) in the men’s 200m individual medley, becoming the first man to swim under 1:49 at 1:48.88. Noe Ponti went 21.50 in the men’s 50m butterfly, undercutting his previous WR mark of 21.67 from Shanghai.
  13. Apparently, there’s been discussion on a trade involving Kiera Van Ryk and Paola Egonu, that would send Egonu back to Vakifbank and Van Ryk to Milano Personally I hope nothing goes through for my sake at least… Turkish League matches are free on YouTube while the Italian League is PPV on VBTV. My beach pass doesn’t cover it, and I’d rather eat shit then give them any more of my money
  14. 4th for Team Gushue at the Pan Continental Curling Championships after going undefeated in round robin (shades of the Swiss women at Beijing) How pathetic given the level of opposition.
  15. Team Homan defeats Team Rui 6-5 in an extra end to advance to the gold medal match. Wasn’t watching because I can’t be bothered to pay for Curling Channel, but the game being this close is concerning.
  16. Doesn’t feel like it for me either, winter started for me back in late September/early October (first event was the Pointsbet Invitational in curling), and ends midway through June (NHL Stanley Cup Finals) For me, it’ll probably be midway throughout the winter season in late January. Edit: I lied, I also watched the Ice Hockey Olympic Qualifiers in early September.
  17. Food court item!
  18. A monster 2:12.72 for Douglass in the women’s 200m breaststroke, holy crap Broke the previous WR mark that she held by almost a second and a half, and she’s now almost two seconds faster than the next fastest all-time performer, Rebecca Soni (2:14.56)
  19. Took a couple of videos, but completely forgot to take even a single picture and the file size of the videos are too big for Totallympics so I had to find a site to upload it to https://streamable.com/ga23lv Vibes at the game were good, place was loud, and I downed a $6 poutine from Costco before the game. Unfortunately, the game didn’t go so well, it took us a solid 45 minutes to actually start playing hockey besides some bursts here and there, and after coming back from down 1-3 we gave up the OT goal less than a minute in (Typical Canucks fashion), but Lankinen stole us a point, they had so many solid opportunities on him and we had no business staying close. Really mediocre start to the season for the Canucks so far, even with 11 points in 8 games, a lot of players not showing up (Petey, Soucy, Myers, Hög, Miller, DeBrusk, although for DeBrusk he’s been known to have a streaky game) and our power play and overtime have been fucking dogshit (power play has been like this for years). Shoutout to Garland, Hughes, Sherwood and Lankinen though they’ve been incredible so far
  20. Mel/Brandie have confirmed that they'll be playing together throughout the next Olympic cycle!
  21. Going to the Canucks game today against the Hurricanes, will try to share some pictures as soon as I get back
  22. WTT Champions Montpellier Men 1. Felix Lebrun 2. Tomokazu Harimoto 3. Benedikt Duda 3. Lin Shidong Women 1. Satsuki Odo 2. Miwa Harimoto 3. Cheng I-Ching 3. Qian Tianyi Full Results
