  1. Is that a record at VNL/World League level? Gotta be right?
  2. Almost blew a 21-14 lead, but take set 3, 25-22 over
  3. Even with all these losses, there’s a lot of good things to take away from this VNL from a perspective Guezen is an absolute beast
  4. 7 in a row for after had a 10-7 lead… 3 aces in a row at 10-8
  5. 8:03.18 for El-Bakkali in the men’s 3000m steeplechase! NR for Miura in 8:03.43
  6. Woo clears 2.34m, an =WL!
  7. 12.34 for Tapper in the women’s 100m hurdles, equaling her PB! ”I got my first Diamond League dub”
  8. Darcy Sharpe has retired https://www.instagram.com/p/DL2siztPd0F/?igsh=emU5bGxmcnJieW42 Parrot was left off the NT for the 2025-26 season, safe to say he’s quietly retired as well. At least his Olympic career ended on a high.
  9. First time watching Kapitolnik in the men’s high jump, have to say I’m really impressed with him so far Just cleared 2.27m.
  10. PB’s, AR’s, and SB’s all the way down the line.
  11. 2:19.77 for Nelly Chepchirchir in the women’s 1000m! Still undefeated in 2025!
  12. 1:42.73 SB for Marco Arop in the men’s 800m at the Monaco Diamond League! Got his tactics all wrong though, he was way behind at the 400m mark.
  13. 1:41:44 MR & WL for Wanyonyi in the men’s 800m! Monaco delivering so far.
  14. 51.95 WL and MR for Femke Bol in the women’s 400m hurdles to kick the meet off
  15. 20.00m for Sarah Mitton in women’s shot put at the Monaco Diamond League!
  16. Monaco time!
  17. Gstaad Elite 16 Women Gold- Kristen Nuss/Taryn Brasher Silver- Anastasia Samoilova/Tina Graudina Bronze- Anouk Vergé-Dépré/Zoe Vergé-Dépré Samoilova/Graudina, Nuss/Brasher, and Anouk/Zoe have been three of the top four teams this season IMO (along with Thamela/Victoria) Anouk/Zoe’s medal was the first by a Swiss pair since Simone Kuhn and Nadine Zumekehr in 2012, 13 years ago. Surprising considering Switzerland’s history in this sport Also a shoutout to Ittlinger/Grune, who recorded a surprise quarterfinals finish Men Gold- Cherif Younousse/Ahmed Tijan Silver- Jacob Hölting Nilsson/Elmer Andersson Bronze- Stefan Boermans/Yorrick de Groot First of all, I wanted to give a shoutout to the young Swedes Holting Nilsson/Andersson, by far the surprises of the week. I’ve watched them before and knew they had what it took to beat some of the top teams, but I didn’t expect it to happen this quickly Oh man, seeing Andre come back from a 6 week long vacation to play in Gstaad, because Saymon didn’t have enough points to get George into this event and well… Gstaad, and get a 4th is super inspiring. Mol/Sorum have an off week with two consecutive losses in the round of 12 and quarterfinals Full Results
  18. Not sure where you got that information
  19. I assume you didn’t see it, but yeah we were discussing it earlier
  20. Badminton team is out! https://www.instagram.com/p/DL3mWCHA1ZU/?img_index=1&igsh=MWxsczZzY2tibjY5eA== Victor Lai will be competing!
  21. 5th at the FIBA U19 Men’s World Cup! Lost a tight game to US in the quarterfinals, they were down only one after three quarters, and lost by 6.
  22. We’re also sending decent teams in swimming and taekwondo. Hopefully we can do better than what we did last time, although that’s a really low bar. That can’t be it though, right? Seems a little low if that’s all of them.
  23. @intoronto do you know who the medal contenders are for Canada (don’t think there’s many, but I’m assuming Favour Okpali will be among them), and where I can find a full list of all our names competing?
  24. Elizabeth Tannis with a PB of 11.53 in the women’s 100m at the Ontario Canada Games Summer Trials. Jennifer Elizarov with some strong performances in women’s pole vault, 4.50m at the Royal City Inferno and 4.42m at the Bob Vigars Classic.
  25. Wyatt Lee breaks the U18 NR in the men’s 100m with a 10.34 at the Flying Angels International Track & Field Championship! Tooni Ogunyeye wins with a PB of 10.32.
