  17. Women’s hockey team won a disappointing silver (lost to Czechia, props to the goalie through, saved 50/51 I think?), and Amy McCarthy won bronze in women’s snowboarding big air. Men’s and women’s curling teams lost their semifinals, and our men’s hockey team is through to the gold medal match.

Slopestyle WC Laax | Laax, Switzerland Men Gold- Cameron Spalding (86.63) Silver- Redmond Gerard (86.22) Bronze- Noah Vicktor (83.72) Spalding goes 2-2 to start the season in slopestyle, and Vicktor records his first career WC podium! Women Gold- Mia Brookes (84.86) Silver- Zoi Sadowski-Synnott (77.29) Bronze- Kokomo Murase (71.15) In 6 events, Brookes has had 5 podiums, and 3 1st’s, not to mention she won by over 7 points here.   24. Hallie Clarke wins gold at the Junior World Championships in St. Moritz, in complete dominance too, she was 0.88 ahead of her closest competitor Schmied (she has a lot of hype surrounding her)
  25. Cameron Spalding goes back-to-back in men’s slopestyle, winning gold at the Silvapana WC! Defending champion Liam Brearley finished 4th, and big air youth Olympic Champion Eli Bouchard made his first WC final. Commentators mentioned Canada’s history here in the men’s event, apparently we’ve won an unusually high amount of medals.
