  7. What would they need to place to reach the standard?
  8. Women’s curling final at the Olympics conflicts with the men’s hockey final and Canada has strong chances in both… seriously IOC?
  9. Team Homan win this year’s Scotties, their second title in a row, defeating Team Einarson 6-1 in the final! Undefeated all week long for both.
  10. Einarson way light on her last, steal of 2 for Homan and she’s in some real trouble now. Homan leads 5-1 after the 8th end, well on her way to a second consecutive Scotties title now.
  11. Team Homan applying lots of pressure during the end, Einarson hits and sticks against 3 for the single. 1-1 after 4.
  12. Einarson was looking good for a couple throughout most of the end. Cue Homan, two consecutive doubles and we get a blank end.
  13. Einarson forces Homan to make a quite simple draw for the single, no problem for Homan. 1-0 Homan after 2.
  14. He’s mentioned that he’s training heavily through this event, trying to peak for Worlds.

  21. Gold for Reece Howden at the Val Di Fassa WC! In the women’s event, Abby McEwen with a career best 4th…
  22. No podium for the Canadian women on day 2 of Val Di Fassa With the limited fields (a lot are recovering from injury), every time they fail to get on the podium it gets more and more embarrassing.
  23. We’re a few days out from the start of the tournament!
  24. Silver for Mikael Kingsbury in dual moguls at the Deer Valley WC. I think it’s safe to say this course isn’t his favourite, he’s made mistakes on both days.
