  1. Wilkerson/Humana-Parades advance to the quarterfinals with the 2nd best point differential!
  2. Victoria is ridiculous Just taking over the game
  3. Thamela/Victoria are on fire, holy shit Three aces in a row by Victoria, and a 16-7 lead in set 1
  4. The on screen win predictors suck The calculations are always so off
  5. 5 consecutive losses for Mel/Brandie to Samoilova/Graudina, and their points ratio likely won’t be enough for a spot in the quarterfinals

  9. Gotta feel for Boulter, still has yet to advance beyond the third round of a Slam…
  10. Busy next few months - VNL (M, July 16-20 week 3, and July 23-27 & July 30-August 3 for W/M Finals) - FIVB Women’s/Men’s U19 World Championships (mainly Canada’s matches, some of the R16/QF matches on July 8-9/July 30 and August 1, and from semis onwards from July 11-13, August 2-3) - Wimbledon and other tennis tournaments - Gstaad Elite 16 (also Montreal Elite 16 from August 13-17 and other beach volleyball tournaments) - World Games (August 6-17) - FISU Summer University Games (July 17-27, skipping the opening ceremony) - AQUA World Aquatics Championships (July 11-August 3) - WA World Athletics Championships (September 13-21) - Athletics (mainly DL’s, aka Eugene, Monaco, and London) - Women’s and Men’s Volleyball World Championships (Aug 22-Sep 7, Sep 12-28) - Women’s and Men’s U19 Basketball World Cup Probably other stuff that I’m missing.
  11. I see Shapo is out already… not surprising at all, he has the mental toughness of a 5 year-old baby
  12. Who are the favourites for the Women’s U18 Worlds? @Federer91 @hoversaBR have got to be among them, surely
  13. I’m glad they’re an ex and not your partner after reading that
  14. Not to me it doesn’t, but the ham & pineapple combination does work the best out of all of them at least.
  15. I don’t find it bad or anything, but agreed. Although where I disagree is when it comes to seafood and parmigiana, cheese only works well with seafood when paired with pasta IMO (only certain types, and even then you can’t add too much or else you’ll overdo it)
  16. Yeah, I don’t have the use for a wheel of Parmesan but I buy a block of it every few months at Costco, and it’s excellent (not for my bank account but for my stomach)
  17. As for my opinion on Hawaiian pizza… I’m one of the least picky people I know, I eat pretty much everything, and I love trying new dishes when on vacation but Hawaiian pizza is disgusting, and knowing that one of ours created this abomination makes me sick Some things just don’t go together, like pineapple and ham, pineapple and tomato sauce, and pineapple and cheese… so basically anything pineapple with pizza.
  18. You break… what? You need to go to food jail immediately for that, and don’t you dare ever step foot in That’s what tongs and a big pot are are for
  19. Women’s team defeats Spain 11-10 in a low scoring defensive masterclass by both teams to avoid a 3rd consecutive QF finish at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup Cassandra Brown with the game-winning bucket with 5.0 seconds left to go in the game, and Saicha Grant-Allen was a beast as always

  21. had their Nationals/Olympic Trials this week, and while the favourites Team Gim won, this event really proved that the South Korean teams are super strong, any of the top four teams (Kim, Kang, Ha) could’ve won. Gim had to win the semifinal after losing the 1/2 game to Ha, and Kim got eliminated in the 3/4 game to Kang.
  22. demolishes 18-6 in the play-in to advance to the quarterfinals! We started with 5 fouls with 5:30 to go, but managed to clean it up by not picking up any more throughout the rest of the game. That was huge for us, considering Japan was 12/13 on FT’s heading into this game, definitely a strength for them. Grant-Allen and Brown were on fire, I think Grant-Allen even got double digits? Crozon struggled with all of her points coming on layups and easy baskets but that’s been the story for the entire tournament. Hope she can gain some confidence from the points she scored and help us to win against Spain. Keys for the game: Crozon, Cleaning up on the turnovers, Not expending all their energy into the early parts of the game because it’s been a trend that they’ve been getting gassed out (besides this one) which lets the other team going on a run.

  24. Yeah, struggling against a Canada B-team with two 5 set wins is a bad sign if you’re Italy.
