  1. You won a quota and you’re salty? I do agree it was over-scored, but don’t think it was by more than ten marks.
  2. Kate Miller and Caeli McKay secure a quota for Canada qualify for Paris in women’s 10m synchro platform!
  3. Another Olympic quota for Canada, this time in women’s 10m synchro platform!
  4. Women’s 10m Synchro Olympic Quotas:
  5. Super impressed with the divers so far at Doha 2024, they’ve been incredible
  6. Women’s 10m Synchro Platform Olympic Qualification After 4/5 Dives: 244.86 225.00 223.38 223.02 213.66 Spain, Australia, and Japan also join the list of NOCs eliminated from contention. Four countries battling for bronze, with Mexico, Ukraine, Canada, and Great Britain all in the mix. China and North Korea are pretty much guaranteed gold and silver.
  7. Women’s 10m Synchro Platform Olympic Qualification After 3/5 Dives: 171.90 154.92 153.72 153.30 153.30 151.56 150.00 148.80 Malaysia, Puerto Rico, and South Korea are already eliminated from contention IMO.
  8. Has our roster for the women’s OQT been announced yet?
  9. Canada with an U23 World Champion in women’s sprint! Traditionally, Canada hasn’t been medal contender worthy in cross country skiing, so maybe Sonjaa Schmidt can change that.
  10. So with that, here’s the full list of all open water quotas for Paris (excluding 800m/1500m OQTs produced in pool events) Men Fukuoka 2023 Quotas: Doha 2024 Quotas: Women Fukuoka 2023 Quotas: Doha 2024 Quotas:
  11. Mexico is still listed as having earned a women’s quota? So I don’t believe you’re right.
  12. Emma Finlin qualifies for Paris in women’s 10km (open water swimming) through the World Aquatic Championships!
  13. Well that was a quick turnaround… Emma Finlin has officially qualified for Paris after getting the reallocated Oceania quota
  14. Emma Finlin qualifies for Paris as she receives a reallocated Oceania quota spot
  15. For me, the amount of athletes isn’t the problem, but more so the fact that qualification lasts multiple hours. Hard for the divers to keep focused on their competition when they have to wait 40 minutes in between dives. What I’d probably do is sort the athletes into two groups, and do one group after another. But that’s just me
  16. I think you mean Santiago, not Lima Yeah a routine change in a couple of months seems unlikely. Maybe I’ll try to compare Canada’s scores (and routines) at Santiago compared to Doha and see what their projected score would be? Also just felt the need to mention, Artistic Swimming Canada only hired Yelyzaveta Yakhno as their assistant coach in late September, only a month away from the Pan Am Games. Hardly any time for the team to get acclimatized (and perfect) her suggestions. I would agree with you though that the Olympic quota is far from a guarantee, and I wouldn’t be surprise to see Canada just missing out.
  17. Peter Prevc (ski jumping) @Federer91 @hckošice@Monzanator
  18. After 2/3 team finals in artistic gymnastics, Canada is 4th in Olympic qualification with 475.4917 points. Likely going to come down to a three-way battle between them, Italy (474.1684), and Ukraine (450.0342, but are the reigning World bronze medalists) for the quotas. Japan aren’t safe in 3rd (482.6201) either, although probably would need a benchmark to fall out of a qualifying position. Free prelims are on Wednesday, followed by free finals on Friday where the Olympic quotas will be awarded.
  19. Why would Canada’s free routine be the same as Lima though?
  20. Shouldn’t it be a likely Italy v. Canada battle for the final quota or am I missing something?? Free routine isn’t Italy’s best event, while Ukraine are the reigning World bronze medalists. Canada didn’t compete in the event last year, so don’t know where they stand compared to the best. Japan also doesn’t look safe for Paris qualification at the moment. I don’t watch artistic swimming very often, so I could possibly be all wrong.
  21. Italy isn’t safe either. They’re a point back of Canada.
  22. Team Olympic Qualification After 2/3 Events: 509.1633 499.8292 482.6201 475.4917 474.1684 450.0342 426.1934
  23. YESSSS! What a routine for 253.3350, and are now in a great position for an Olympic quota
  24. And finally, a livestream for the Mondo Classic (WA Indoor Tour Silver) in Uppsala, Sweden! https://www.svtplay.se/stavhopp-mondo-classics (with your VPN set to Sweden) For Canadian Users: https://www.redbull.com/ca-en/live/mondo-classic-2024 I’ll try to search for a worldwide non geo-blocked stream, will update the post if I find one. Only men’s pole vault at this meet, but this could very much be an Olympic final, a lot of the big guns are entered. Here’s the full start list: Chris Nilsen, Sam Kendricks, Pål Haugen Lillefosse, Thibault Collet, Ben Broeders, Kurtis Marschall, KC Lightfoot, and of course Armand Duplantis.
