Piotr Malachowski is the on-site TVP Sport expert and he claims there are four medal favorites: Ceh, Stahl, Pettersson and Alekna.
Ceh is his #1 but maybe due to the Gerd Kanter coaching connection so it's hard to figure out if he's objective enough. He does rule out Gudzius though.

Lella Lomabrdi ahead of her F1 Grand Prix debut in Kyalami 1975 (she beat Wilson Fittipaldi by 0,05 to make the grid). Still the last woman who qualified for a Formula 1 Grand Prix (and one of only two of five who managed to do that).

Lieke Martens is out of the tournament with a foot injury.
-
5th place for
Sofia Ennaoui!!! That's the best possible result give the four that broke clear
-
Women's 1500 final left. Let's see if the tempo will be fast enough Ennaoui can attack the Polish NR.
-
El Bakkali just cleared the water jump without issues and that was enough to gain three meters
-
Bett fell in 3000 SC final but not on the water jump.
-
Barshim clears 2.35 first time. That could be enough for gold.
-
Thiam does enough to take heptathlon gold. Vetter silver and Hall bronze.
Adrianna Sułek with NR 6672 but only good enough for 4th place.

What's with the orange shorts for
Woo? Korea borrowed Dutch back-up kits?
-
Rojas 15.47 but we will get that off tape since showing 200m runners still standing was more important.

Does liveresults work now? I have problem with it now.
What a disaster. At first needed to log in and now it does not work? International event in 21st century :-(
Yes, they work now. I literally checked three mins ago. They were down again for the last 90 minutes.

Seyni 21.98 NR for
(just wanted to post this flag
).
-
Allman 68.36 in the final Q attempt so the shock is avoided
-
Adam Gemili is that bad these days? Five men heat and he finished 4th. Not much chance for LL.
-
Allman 2x NM in discus qualifying
-
Blocks failure for

Belgium wins 1:0. Italy have been very disappointing in this tournament, just no real quality up front. Still not as miserable as Norway but they have to find a new generation to make the next step.
QF:

Belgium scores in the 49th minute! RIP Iceland.
