  1. Ain't they all dead people walking at this stage anyway? Starmer appears to be a less polarising figure than Corbyn so all Labour needs is to lay low and watch Tory implode in the next two years?
  2. So Kwasi Kwarteng has been fired as chncellor after a month in office and now Tory admit some UK taxes will rise after all @GrassmarketI suppose the next elections will be moved forward since I can't believe this mess will be tolerated for two more years? https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-63257058
  3. I watched every SOG since 1988 and well, due to youth usually being romanticized by default I pick Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000 And yes, Atlanta had GR wrestling in the first week together with judo so Poland led the medal table after two days
  4. Well, it maybe looks like Jeremy Sochan will be in starting five for the Spurs.
  5. Poland has been fighting wars with Russia since more or less 15th century. You're not fooling anyone in Poland with "peaceful Russia" comments
  6. [hide] Knockout Round October 11th- October 15th, 2022 Third-Place Match Date & Time (GMT +2) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 October 15th 2022, h. 16:00 Italy 3 1 United States Final Date & Time (GMT +2) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 October 15th 2022, h. 20:00 Brazil 2 3 Serbia [/hide]
  7. Well, sorry to disappoint you. Bringing back Russian military bases to Poland would be like bringing back French colonial rule in Algeria. How many Algerians actually wants that?
  8. Poland had Soviet military bases for 46 years after WWII and NOBODY, I mean, NOBODY misses them here. We'll take NATO bases over Russia any given day
  9. Some Latin Democrats from LA city council were busted for racist remarks and swiftly resigned from office I assume that is their political careers over. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-63237924
  10. Czech Republic bans entry to Russian tourists (and athletes) from October 25th. They waited until the recent WTA 500 Ostrava tournament ended but still... https://www.praguemorning.cz/czech-republic-bans-entry-to-russian-tourists-starting-october-25/
  11. Kamalpreet Kaur (6th place in OG discus) banned for three years for stanozolol. https://www.espn.in/olympics/trackandfield/story/_/id/34780371/kamalpreet-kaur-three-year-ban-doping-violation-stanozolol-explainer-indian-athletics
  12. Kowalczyk came into biathlon after Zbigniew Waskiewicz was voted as the President of the PZB in 2020. However he didn't receive a vote of confidence in June 2022 and Joanna Badacz was voted as the new President one month later. She is basically a puppet of former head coach/sporting director Adam Kolodziejczyk who is now a member of the board. Nothing associated with Kolodziejczyk is any good at this stage. It wasn't any good for years before. Sadly biathlon suffers from lack of fresh blood - like many winter sports - and there's no way to get rid of this guy once and for all. The new board also prevented Darya Dolidovich from training with the Polish national team. That was the straw that broke the camel's back for Kowalczyk.
  13. Justyna Kowalczyk has resigned from her post as PZB sporting director. Three coaches (including Alexander Veretelny) have also resigned. Don't expect anything positive from Polish biathlon in the upcoming decade. To make matters worse Magdalena Gwizdon literally had the best course time during the roller skating national championships sprint few days ago
  14. Belarussian Army is less than 20,000 soliders in active duty. They have no assets to participate in any active military campaign right now (other than serve as cannon fodder). And what's worse, sending troops to fight for Putin might be one thing that actually sweeps Lukashenka from power because the same army would then be missing to combat any public unrest within Belarus.
  15. Elon Musk supports those fake voting in the annexed regions of Ukraine? Another multi-billionaire who has no idea what's going outside of his bank account. What a frickin' idiot. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-63225781
  16. It wasn't hard to find who the only NHL player from Yukon is
  17. I double checked the bracket. It's almost guaranteed they will be the highest FIFA ranking team so they will be seeded and play only one match to qualify. Chinese Taipei, Chile and Thailand are the next three highest ranked teams and one of them will also get to play only one match.
  18. beat 1-0 so they also qualify. goes to the inter-continental play-offs where they will be huge favorites to advance anyway (two groups of 5 teams, winners will qualify).
  19. [hide] Knockout Round October 11th- October 15th, 2022 4 Nations, The Winners of each Semifinal will qualify for the Final. The Losers of each Semifinal will play the Third-Place Match. Semifinals Date & Time (GMT +2) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 October 12th 2022, h. 20:30 Serbia 3 1 United States October 13th 2022, h. 20:00 Italy 3 2 Brazil [/hide]
  20. beats 3-2. Poor match from Mihajlovic but Boskovic and Stevanovic carried them to victory.
  21. First two UEFA play-off finals are over. beat 2-1 after extra time and have qualified. They dominated the match but only scored in 120th minute after a missed penalty and another goal ruled for offside by VAR. Wales had one shot on goal all match. beat 4-1 after extra time (Iceland down to ten players since 55th minute). This means will qualify if they beat . If that match goes to penalties then Portugal will qualify. Also Scotland needs to beat Ireland by three goals to qualify on goal difference. Even a two goal win still promotes Portugal.
