  1. I watched ski jumping team event so I didn't miss anything
  2. Last round to go. Germany has the gold in the bag, only 9 pts between three teams for two remaining medals. Kriznar needs a monster jump to save the home pride...
  3. Poland finished dead last 8 pts behind USA but Annika Belshaw was DQ for irregular suit. A complete disaster for us but what do U expect when an active nordic combined skier took over as coach last season (Szczepan Kupczak, he's retired now)
  4. Sara Takanashi was replaced by Ringo Miyajima after a bad fall in training yesterday
  5. I had the same problem with Lake Placid many moons ago. This was the time when I thought the entire state of New York looks like New York City
  6. Don't look now but Iga Świątek is in the final of Dubai 1000 where she will play Barbora Krejcikova. Meanwhile in Merida
  7. It's literally Squaw Valley. World Cup was last held there in 2017 IIRC (Shiffrin won both GS & slalom)
  8. Squads for the women's team event. The only real surprise is Austria going with Seifriedsberger which means Kramer is out. Poland can probably beat USA and that could be it. 9th place here we come
  9. At least Istanbul BB doesn't follow the traditional Something-spor name for 95% of Turkish clubs
  10. I tuned it after 50 mins (watched WTA Dubai SF) and see red suits ahead
  11. The censorship of Roald Dahl's books ("Charlie & the Chocolate Factory" author) has been overturned and they will be printed in original form again. A spectacular loss for the liberal woke brigade this time. Their power doesn't include censorship which is good to hear. https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-64759118
  12. 14 year old tennis player Alisa Oktiabreva represents Czech Republic now though the decision must have been made by her parents.
  13. I guess Hagen couldn't do it any other way but getting outskied by a Japanese in the end looks strange
  14. Hansen was so bored she decided to fall.
  15. A miracle has happened! Polish club has won an European Cup knockout phase tie after the winter break for the first time since 1991. Recently there was a joke article in our media the last time it happened Czechoslovakia was still one country @hckošice Lech Poznań - Bodo Glimt 0-0 and 1-0
  16. Ex-F1 driver and ABBA drummer Karl Edward "Slim" Borgudd passed away at the age of 76.
  17. We are nearing the one year anniversary of the war. Lukashenka has said Chinese President Xi Jinping will make a statement on the war within the next 48 hours and maybe gives some version of a "peace plan" Well, the global powerhouses are getting more restless with this war?
  18. Slovenia has the most room for improvement for sure, Germany looks like a clear favorite for gold, Norway will push them close. Austria needs better performance from Kramer and Kreuzer, if they did then podium places would be locked. Meanwhile China will probably beat Poland in the women's team event which is downright laughable but also shows you how much we are focused on the three old musketeers on the men's side
  19. Four in Top 3 of SB entry lists: Sułek at #1 in pentathlon (but Thiam & Vidts did not compete so far), Swoboda (60m), Kiełbasińska (400m) and Szymański (60H). Italy leads the team members count:
  20. Stroem just buckled under pressure and only bronze. Althaus wins ahead of Pinkelnig.
  21. At this rate Takanashi won't make the mixed team
  22. Anna Odine Stroem leads by 4.7 pts ahead of Althaus. Pinkelnig is third but 8.5 pts back.
  23. A complete disaster for the team. Not a single one will be in Top 10 after the 1st round.
  24. Women's NH event has started. Nicole Konderla 85.5 meters. Tail wind so far.
