  1. September 2019 - A record breaking month September 2019 was certainly a month where us Totallympians have outdone ourselves, setting the forum alight with multiple new records and top 10 all-time placings!! Where to begin?? In terms of the month of September, this was the busiest September in the history of the forum (2016 era onwards). The previous record of 6564 set in September 2018 was smashed with the new September record post total standing at a whopping 9676 posts!! That's an extra 3000+ posts added on to the previous best, very impressive! September 2019 is now the 4th busiest month in terms of posts in the new forum's history. The real story of our success though comes in the closing days of the month. September 28th, 29th and 30th all take places in the Top 4 days in 2019 in terms of post count (excludes TISC Grand Final days), with September 29th the new record for the year with a total of 928 for the day! But that only tells half the story..... September 29th and September 28th also make it onto the Top 10 on the All-Time list (9th and 10th place respectively) surpassing even very busy days set during the 2018 Winter Olympics. Incredible!! In fact, outside of Olympic days or TISC Grand Final days, those are the 2 busiest days ever seen on the forum in terms of post count! New Record Alert!! Totallympics Record Number of Posts per day in 2019 September 29th 928 New Record Alert!! 6. Nobody thought that our girls would make it, but... it is real, we have QUALIFIED TO TOKYO 2020! I'm shocked and very very happy for all of them, but especially Ana Pérez, whom I met personally, and Roxana, whose story is simple awesome.

  19. I counted the girls again and for a moment I thought Ireland had qualified, but I really counted 32 gymnasts. Bummer. There's still a huge chance someone will qualify through other means (world cup series, continental championships), so I believe there's hope for Ireland.

  20. Incredible, hats off to her! It is worth to highlight that she now qualified for her eighth(!) consecutive Summer Olympics at the age of 44 in a sport where most women quit at their late 20's (at the latest), still highly competitive in Vault. She is a real olympic superstar. She will now become the woman with second most Olympic appearances, just behind Nino Salukvadze and equal to Josefa Idem. Very bitter result for Brazil, normally a sure shot for qualification. Hopefully, they are able to qualify at least some more individuals via the other criteria.

  21. You know for some reasons that match was also "somehow" important for Iran if I remember correctly she didn't lost by Senshou. the Chinese received a caution in last 15 seconds (which annuls the Senshou) she lost by "Hantei" this qualification system makes things a bit weird. some results in other weights help you in another weight !!! for example I want Semeraro to win and Ferracuti to lose (sorry I like all Italian athletes, this is not personal I'm sure you know why ) and beside that it was important for Iran to keep the best ranked Asian athlete. Gong going to the final and probably winning the gold is not a good news for that . another funny thing is I realized there is a chance for Iran to even qualify at 67kg ! how ? we simply have to hope Oceania and America qualify their continental quotas at 75kg (there is an Uzbek athlete in top 10) in that case our 67kg athlete only needs 500-600 pts to catch up 60kg Uzbek Saymatov (and also hoping for Kazakh athletes at +75kg to not get good results) isn't this extremely weird ? Australian results at 75kg will directly affect Iran's chance at 67kg -------------------- PS:the link doesn't work for 61kg results. I just know Giana Lotfy's opponent for bronze is Jovana Prekovic

  23. This is of course a fair question, but Bukowiecki himself already had 22m shots, which were nearly impossible to reach at least for Europeans for a long time. So I think, he is kind of part of the new Shot Putter generation, isn't he?

  24. Yeah it's really crap to be honest. Schedules should always be spaced out as best as possible so that athletes are encouraged to try to double up. Hassan though did a special double here which was nice to see.

  25. I think 3 times: 22.36 m by Crouser in round 1, then 22.90 m by Walsh in round 1 and then 22.91 m by Kovacs in round 6. Edit: But i think there were 7 throws past the old championship record (1 by Kovacs, 4 by Crouser, 1 by Walsh and 1 by Romani)

  26. The longest throw not to win a medal before today was 21,58 (Walsh in 2015)! Romani and Hill would have won medals at every other WCh before Doha!

  38. In my opinion, Magnus Kirt will surely be fighting for gold. No doubt. He made 90m throw this year and he looks pretty stable. Quali 88m puts him on the list of men who r gonna fight for title. Cheng, Kirt, Vetter is my guess for medals.

  39. So, I believe Chusovitina will qualify now. I can see only seven gymnasts ahead of her, and this would be enough for her to secure at least the position for reallocation of the host nation quota.

  40. Hello everybody for another (sadly already the penultimate) session of worlds athletics championships. We started with the Group A of the M Javelin qualifiers, which just finished. 4 Directly Qualified, Vetter 89.35, Peters 85.34, Vadlejch 84.31 and Weber 84.29

  41. 1 host country quota is also going to be reallocated to the all-around competition, but I think this will happen after all the other qualification events next year. So one gymnast from another NOC will be guaranteed to qualify if she doesn't qualify in another way.

  44. Entries for the African regatta. M1x (19) - W1x (19) - LM2x (7) - LW2x (3) - Apparently nations can qualify only one boat across all four events. The only expection is when 2 or more boats from the same nation finish first, in which case the nation can keep two places.

This is the list of remaining ranking events before the deadline, always possible for WKF to add more events or change something but it seems this is the final list. 2019 Premiere League / 4-6 October / Moscow Premiere League / 29 Nov - 1 Dec / Madrid ----------------------------------------------- 2020 Serie A / 10-12 January / Santiago Premiere League / 24-26 January / Paris African Championship / 7-9 February / Tangier Premiere League / 14-16 February / Dubai Premiere League / 28 Feb - 1 Mar / Salzburg Premiere League / 13-15 March / Rabat European Championship / 25-29 March / Baku * Other continental champs will be held after 6 April and won't affect the ranking.

  48. I realized that there is a big number of nations that could achieve a medal result for the first time at these Championships, so now I'm excited for the competition. has the biggest chance on pommel horse. I'd say that if McClenagham hits his routines twice in a row (qualifications and event final) he has a big chance (more than 80%) to win a medal. has a moderate chance on rings. Zahran depends on mistakes from major contenders and a perfect routine in the final, but he definitely has a chance. has a 50/50 chance of a medal in a number of events (rings, all-around, parallel bars, horizontal bar) but I'm not very confident that their time has come. I would love to be proven wrong. has an outside chance on men's vault. Pretty much like Egypt, they depend on other gymnasts faltering, but a medal is still within reach if everything goes right. has an outside chance on men's floor. This is one of the most unpredictable apparatus, so anything is possible. has low chances on men's vault. has very low chances in a number of events. But Georgiou won a medal at the European Championships and the European Games, so he's lucky this year. won a surprising gold medal at the Asian Championships on pommel horse, so it would be nice to keep an eye on this apparatus. also has a contender on the pommel horse. Keikha has the seventh best score this year among the competitors, and if he makes it to the final let's see what could happen. has low chances with Dominici and Molinari. is the most surprising nation here. Matvei Petrov (born in Russia) has this year's second-best score on the pommel horse (tied with McClenaghan), but he achieved this score in a very small competition and was never able to even come close to a big score again. Still, a distant possibility for a medal. is a long shot for a medal on the high bar. is an even longer shot for a medal on men's vault, but I'm not ruling them out as of yet. I would say Ireland has the biggest chance of a medal. Egypt and Dominican Republic winning medals is perfectly possible too, but it would depend on how other gymnasts perform. Iran, Chile and Turkey are long shots, but nothing impossible. Jordan, Cyprus and Guatemala are not really close, but on a perfect day they could come close to a medal or even get a bronze medal. Argentina and Lithuania would need major mistakes from a big number of contenders. Albania and Indonesia are hoping for a miracle, but we have seen miracles happen before (Vietnam, Puerto Rico, Armenia).

  49. CHINA Song:Green leaves affecting the roots by Mao A'min lyrics : Don't ask me where to go My heart is following you Don't ask me where to go My love is holding you I am your green leaf My roots are in your land Say goodbye to you in the spring breeze Today, this side will be there tomorrow. Don't ask me where to go My heart is following you Don't ask me where to go My love is holding you No matter where I parked in the cloud My eyes always cast to you If I sing in the wind That song is also for you. Oh, don't ask me where to go. My path is full of memories You also bless me. I also wish you This is the affection of the green leaves on the roots. Don't ask me, don't ask me where to go I am your green leaf My roots are in your land This is the affection of the green leaves on the roots.
