  5. can't wait to watch Micic wrestling outside of Belgrade kind of interesting that since 2021 he never wrestled at 57kg outside of Belgrade. for the Europeans he wrestled at 65kg. and not even 61kg . there are some rumors since last year. we will know in Paris if they are correct or not. of course it's hard to believe (and honestly I still can't believe them myself) but you can see things with your own eyes when someone looks much bigger than the other guy. btw at least I was correct so far about 57kg quotas prediction 4 out 4 and if Uguev wins 5 out 5 . at least one correct prediction where the rest of my predictions were totally off

  10. I don't think so, he was just very tired, and his previous match against our guy drained his energy completely. he is still a great wrestler, but if you don't train properly you can't wrestle back to back matches, your body won't let you.

  21. well, this 92kg Kazakh guy who won the gold, lost a month ago in the World Junior Championship final to one of our guys, yet we sent someone else who was pathetic speaking of not sending the right guy (our #1 at 92kg who was the defending champion got injured and we had to send someone else, they just picked someone from 97kg making him cut weight, instead of sending our #2 in 92kg who was the same person who won the World Junior title) we could easily won both 79kg and 92kg golds but lost to our own stupid mistakes

Yeah, the federation rankings use the results of the top 25 players and since Canada has almost no depth we won't have enough points to qualify. It use to be much worse, for 2020 it was the top 100 players which caused nations like Mongolia to farm points by hosting multiple tournaments a day.

I saw some pages of the myinfo system thanks to press friends. I think the delay mainly due to some undecided schedule like withdrawal of Lebanon men's basketball team and addition of Sri Lanka's men's rugby team. These "open" issues make the system is still half-finished.

DL Final in Eugene, Oregon just finished. Overall, a great showing. Marco Arop placed second behind Wanyoyni in the men’s 800m, in 1:43.84 (NR, overtaking Brandon McBride’s 1:44.20) Sarah Mitton recorded a best mark of 19.94m in women’s shot put, placing second behind Ealey. Andre DeGrasse won the men’s 200m in 19.76, which bodes well for him going into Paris.

that means 81kg will be pretty weak in Hangzhou, no China, and no Rahmat Erwin but unfortunately our guy was terrible at the world champion, so it doesn't matter we are not going to win that gold btw the competition unofficially starts in something like 30-35 hours and still no results/schedule section. booo

  37. Its difficult for each team to keep high form by whole long season. I want just remind that Italy is playing here without their best players and also are without high form as at VNL. Do you remember that they finished EC without medal losing to Netherlands? I think that we still are favourite for quota (alongside USA) here, mostly by playing in home. Mark my words.

  43. Congrats for the win @hckošice Tsitsipas seemed too tired in the end, he had to play many long matches the last two days, Slovakia is a much better team overall and they deserved the win. I also expected more spectators, and I think it might've happened if we played at night instead. It was very hot to sit out in the sun all day, and it's a shame because tickets were actually quite inexpensive. Also we might've done better at night because the temperature is cooler, so maybe Stefanos wouldn't have been as tired after that long doubles match and then singles right after Also I think there wasn't much interest from the Greek public. When we played against your other country, Ecuador, earlier this year, we had bigger crowds despite snow that day (obviously we played indoors) because it was a few days after Stefanos played in the Australian Open final. Now, he lost in the second round at the US Open and is being unfairly criticised a lot by the public these days for not winning any Grand Slam, and many Greeks gave up on him and stopped supporting him, because we have a country full of negative, miserable people who only care about athletes and teams when they are winning I am proud that he put our country on the tennis map, as a teenager he was already our best male tennis player of all time (of those who actually represented Greece) and still the only to make the top 100 ranking and he got up to number 3 and is currently number 5, but it's never enough to please some people because he doesn't win as much as Djokovic and Alcaraz...Also let's not forget how many top 10 players skipped Davis Cup this week, but Stefanos almost always shows up, even though he is playing in Canada next week and was in USA last week, it's not an easy trip for a few days but I am proud to have someone dedicated to their national team and I wish more Greeks appreciate that, we are very lucky to have someone like him! When his career is over they will regret not appreciating him...

  45. In the much anticipated pommel horse showdown between Max Whitlock and Rhys McClenaghan the bragging rights went to Whitlock. He took gold with a score of 15.45 against McClenaghan's 15.1. Whitlock upped his degree of difficulty to 6.9 (against 6.8 in qualifying) whilst McClenaghan had D score of 6.6 (up from 6.4 in qualifying). Historically I think McClenaghan has offset a lower degree of difficulty by outperforming on the execution but he wasn't able to do that today with Whitlock scoring 8.55 against McClenaghan's 8.5. With both athletes looking close to their best, the pommel horse is shaping up to be a great competition when the World Champs come around.

  46. Its also just a weird setup to have the teams in P15-20 needing to qualify top 2 with the top teams still around and then afterwards just look at ranking. There is basically zero pressure on the top teams anyway because they should Q via ranking if an upset happens. If the upsets for teams in ranking 13-20 do not happen we could just have skipped this tourney apart from the effects on rankings which feels kinda.. dull.
