I'm sure I'm gonna cry for any Italian Olympic medal as usual...

and there are a lot of disciplines and events in my personal wish list of possible success...

but the answer to the original question is a no brainer: Rowing, men's Quadruple Sculls winning Gold in memoriam of Filippo Mondelli...

OK, I'll name two right now, this could change a lot.

:USA Torrie Huske in W 100m Fly - She just scared the WR last Monday, she's a local girl for me, from Arlington, VA and there is a special thing for me about Arlington and the 100 Fly.  1956, the first time this event was in the Olympics, the gold medal was won by Shelley Mann from Arlington, VA, and whose story is very inspirational.  Torrie, btw, her  mother is from China, she emigrated to the USA in 19991.

2 :USA  Sakura Kokumai W Kata - she is a long-shot, sure, but it has been chronicled in the US how she has been subject to anti-Asian harassment, and it would just be wonderful to see her win.

1. Equestrian : very challenging one we have a very good team and individuals in Showjumping but not with the quality of winning medals, it's always a dream for me that Egypt could someday win an Olympic medal in this sport

2. MP : this sport always makes me sad in Olympics so a sweet revenge would be real fun, in the last 3 Olympics we have some very good pentathletes but they always choked in this fucking lucky equestrian again we go to the Olympics with really high hopes of winning a medal if we don't win this time then I would really stop following this sport for real ?

3. Judo : the 2nd most annoying sport for me after Modern Pentathlon, Very high hopes in London and Rio but came up with nothing now we are actually nothing so can we have a sweet revenge with a very wide outsider chance let's see

4. Shooting : one of the sports that I always wanted for a medal at, it really upseted me in Rio when we had 2 5 place finishers and even Amy was doing great in men's skeet but a very awful 4th series with 22 destroyed his chances it would be real fun if he can win a medal after all his historic achievements last 7 years he really deserve to shine also a medal in men's or mixed trap would be real real fun

5. Handball : the most upsetting sport in Egyptian history we are always close of doing something big but we choke in the last Meters this team really deserved a medal in our home WCH, I can't describe how much I'll be happy if we can win a medal in handball but I really doubt it

6. Men's Sabre : I feel in Egyptian history we don't have outsiders that win medals it's great when those who are favorites to win really win some a medal in individual or even team Sabre would be real real fun

7. Men's Greco Roman Wrestling -67 kg : Kesho winning a medal would be real fun in a very tough competition before Corona this guy was among the very best in this weight category but now he's not in shape sorter really challenging one here

8. Men's Shotput : very much outsider chance from Mostafa Amro but if it happens i would be over Skies

.

Any medal actually for Egypt is very fun because simply we don't win many ?

Eh we don't have many choice - basically our medal chances are only from badminton and weightlifting.

Personally I'd be happy if Mohammad Ahsan & Hendra Setiawan can get the gold in badminton.

Any medal outside from those two sports will be greatly appreciated.

I'm a big heptathlon and decathlon fan in athletics. So a medal in either of this would be fantastic, but realistically only Niklas Kaul has a chance, as Carolin Schäfer has problems after her Corona vaccination. If my avatar (Gesa Krause in the steeplechase) medals, it would be great as well.

-Fencing is the sport that excites and amuses me the most, each medal here will always remain unique.

- Péni István, Rifle. I believe he has the potential and medal in this sport has been missing since 2004

-Modern Pentahlon: a gold in this competition has a "mythological" charm to me. Maybe not one of frontline sports to watch, but one of the best stories to remember.

    • I remember Caroline Golubitsky. She competed with Vezzali for a while but not for long. Rita Konig, whom Vezzali defeated in the final of the Olympic Games in 2000, was more famous, as well as Sabine Bau and Anja Mueller. From what I remember, the Germans competed fiercely with us at some point, but they almost always lost.
    • Shemyakina won a bronze medal in 2014 Worlds and was one of our leader but leave the squad due to pregnancy (she has 2 daughters if I'm not mistaking, so she chose family instead of sport). And speaking of foil we have back in the day Sergiy Golubitskyi, who was Olympic silver medalist and won some medals in other competitions and coached his wife Caroline Golubitskyi - one of the German foil specialists. Even in women's foil we had medal in Women's foil at the European championship - it was Olha Leleiko, our current national coach. So no, we are pretty good fencing country, and depending on generations of our athletes some events are more "profitable" for us and some don't.
    • Shemyakina that was a very strange story. She unexpectedly won the games but before and after she literally achieved nothing. After that success in 2012 she also completely disappeared. It's only in epee that such strange situations. That's why I've always preferred foil and sabre, because the top was more stable there, although that's changing now. The competition has grown a lot all over the world.
    • Sinner probably won't play in another edition of the Davis Cup. That shouldn't come as a surprise. Next season, Wimbledon and maybe Paris should be the goal.
    • No, our epee was good always, we have Shemyakina, who was Olympic Champion in 2012, Reizlin with bronze in 2020, medalists of Worlds like Kryvytska (who is our finisher today), Svichkar (who is our finisher in men's side) and Stankevych, European champion Kharkova, medals in other conpetitions from men's team epee who were one of the main contenders in Tokyo, but unfortunately failed to take a medal.
    • Does Ukraine have good relations with Poland, or are they more cold, like, for example, Italy with France?
    • Until recently, Ukrainian fencing was just Kharlan and sabre. Maybe epee sometimes. I don't remember them ever was strong in foil. There was a time when Russia, Romania and Poland were strong in foil at that time when Italy dominated but I don't remember Ukraine anymore.   Hungarian women with Aida Mahomed were too strong for many years.
    • No surprise with Aaron Judge winning AL MVP and Shohei Ohtani winning NL MVP awards.   Ohtani is the second player in history to win MVP in both leagues. Frank Robinson (1961 Reds & 1966 Orioles) was the only one before.
