NMQ got a reaction from rafalgorka in Tokyo 2020 Day after Day as it could have happened
I think it´s open, most top doubles players don´t play together with their countrywomen on tour, so they should be in the mix. There are a lot of single players who could go far, like Sabalenka/Azarenka or Barty/Stosur.

Zeballos/González and Zeballos/Podoroska will be in the mix too.

It´s not that she isn´t good. They split because Garcia wanted to focus on singles, but in 2019 they played together and won Fed Cup.

Naomi made the statement, the tournament is just doing damage control IMO. A single one day off doesn´t change a bit for them.

Some preliminary result from a study conducted in Heinsberg (the region in Germany that was hit the hardest):
They randomly tested 500 people and found out that 15 % of them had been infected. If we assume that 15 % of all people in this region have already been infected, then it would mean that 37500 people have been infected, while officially only 1500 people have tested positive. This would mean that the actual number of infected people is 25 times higher than the official number. The study also suggests that the real death rate therefore is 0.37 %. Earlier the scientist who conducted this study also said that they took samples from different objects (door knobs etc.) in a household with infected people and that they weren't able to cultivate the virus in the laboratory, which probably means that it is extremely "difficult" to get infected via objects.

I think you are not understanding the facts, we are not USA, we are a very small country with limited resources, let me explain to you why we are doing what we do and why we imposed radical measures and regulations from the beginning.
We simply have to eliminate any eventual outbreaks in its beginning, so far we are hopefully still able to manage to avoid the spread among the populaton, meaning so far we were still able to quickly find all relatives, colleges and persons in contact with every positive patient and by immediate quarantining prevent the spread. BUT if by some unhappiness we´ll fails and someone will majorly spread the virus, we will be definitely lost and doomed, no one will help us.

we just have to do only with what we have, we do not have much things, just the masks and discipline. Trust me no one is happy that our borders are closed, that foreigners (tourists) have not been able to enter the country for more than a month now, our kids will probably return into schools only from September, shops are closed, we can not gather or just go do or watch hockey or for instance any other sport and our economy is collapsing (we are losing 70 millions EUR per day)

but we simply cannot open up ourselves and leave it as you and the other western european countries did, we are not so rich,
no one in the west has even idea or even want to know that a country like Slovakia exist..we would all die within weeks.

I’m just against the use of force. If police/MPs do their job peacefully, using the least amount of force needed, then I’m fine, but I’ve been quite disturbed from what I’ve from a few countries. People should still allowed all the their basic human rights and freedoms during the pandemic. My biggest fear, besides people not respecting what medical professionals advice, is governments using this pandemic to clamp down on rights and freedom (like we already saw in Hungary).

As far as i know that isn't correct. I think the city of Hamburg is counting their deaths this way, but the RKI (Robert-Koch-Institut) that is responsible for the statistics for Germany as a whole counts everyone who died and was tested positive, even if he/she died from something else. For example look at the following case: In Heinsberg a 78-year-old man died of heart failure without having any problems with his lungs, but he was still counted as a corona victim (after testing positive). Also in two retirement homes in Würzburg and Wolfsburg about 30 patients died and all were counted as corona victims although, as you might suspect, most of them were pretty old (80+) and had at least one underlying condition.

Well, today is a terrible day. Banks reopened after two weeks, so thousands of people are in the streets, most of them old ones who coudnt't get their money and don't use electronic systems. This gonna cost lives and damage the opinion towards the quarantine.

We are doing around 700 per day and increasing. It's one of the countries with fewer tests per million habitants, so many are focusing on that as the main problem. But I get it. There were a lot problems when everything started and we are doing what we can with the things we have.

We have good numbers here so far: 1217 cases, 37 deaths, 256 recovered, 72 in ICU. But we were poor, on the verge of default before the quarantine and many people want to relax the measures already (ends on april 12th). We are going to crash hard. If not for the virus, the economy will be.

I can see some domestic leagues in sports getting started in a few months. But for tennis, a worldwide tour consisting of international travel and players from everywhere it would much harder. Definitely could see a scenario where there is no tennis for the next half year.
