Having at most 3-4 additional swimmers in Tokyo really isn't going to kill them. True. No. They changed that rule. I’m not sure of the exact new rule but it was mentioned in commentary at the Irish trials that Darragh Greene getting the A time at the 200m and 100m breaststroke was important as he wasn’t guaranteed to be allowed in both with only a B time OlympicIRL 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Provided nobody from the same nation is already entered for that event.* Two swimmers are allowed only if they both have OQT in the event concerned. I don't believe they changed this rule. EDIT: Yeah, the Polish federation confirms it. It would be dumb if relay swimmers can start an individual event with an OST, while those with an OQT can't get the same treatment. Obviously she isn't giving up her Olympic dreams just because of some little thing, so it's a rather sad situation. If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated!
