BJJ is the only sport that could offer some diversity among competing nations. Everything else doesn't make any sense at the Olympics.

I really like Kabaddi. Obviously it would need to gain much more international appeal and participation in order to justify a position on the program. It’s a relatively cheap sport at base level, since there’s not really any specialty equipment needed. It’s quite different from most of the other team sports on the program. A good mix of speed, agility, strategy, and technique is needed to win. Plus, I personally find it highly enjoyable to watch.

In terms of adding something totally new/different to the Olympics: definitely kabaddi or sepaktakraw. Sadly that would be complete nonsense in terms of competing nations.

    • Suspect strongly that the Sultan of  is behind Global Wushu!     Another one is long distance & ultra triathlon.  There are literally millions being paid out in prize money to attract big name athletes from several sports, huge FTA TV coverage but seemingly no prospect of any profit.   And the classic is obstacle racing, which has effectively bought up the ownership of Modern Pentathlon.
    • apparently the Japanese organizers rejected OCA's nice request    now OCA is ordering them to do so in a not-so-nice language https://oca.asia/media/attachments/memberships_subcommittee/5/Decision_-_103rd_OCA_EB_Meeting_5ypY8y4.pdf   the last line is very interesting   I knew this for a while, for example that's why Jujjtsu is included in all of OCA events (despite being the worst sport to watch) but good to see OCA admit this. so with the corrupt OCA you can buy your way in. how much they paid the OCA officials for this ?   OK I know Qatar is financially supporting Padel (and UAE is paying everything for Jujitsu) but who is behind Teqball?  ! I don't think Thailand can do that.
    • Important information on team Aerials.   There is no AIN`s team at the start list of the world cup despite of the fact that belorussians have enough athletes to have a team.   https://medias4.fis-ski.com/pdf/2026/FS/8119/2026FS8119SLF1.pdf
    • By the way. It looks like no AIN`s will be in biathlon by the start of the Olympics. Russians filed an appeal to CAS to get AIN statuses in biathlon. But IBU did not agree to have hearings with short procedure. So the decisons are not expected before the end of qulifying period. (FIS could do the same but its top-officials prefer to help russians be back as quick as possible).   I would like to see Dolidovich at the Games. Because she is a real refugee of the relatively high level.
