I'd wait for the next match against before making any predictions. If it's another struggle while Japan crushes Mexico then it might be Japan's gold to lose.

To be fair, the Americans were faultless defensively. They left nothing for the Italians.

 

Even if their offense was not up to the standard, this does not put JPN/CAN in a better position.
