Even if their offense was not up to the standard, this does not put JPN/CAN in a better position.

The thing about baseball & softball is that it’s very hard to predict what happens when the pitchers change, so there is always that chance. That said, if the USA stick with those two it’s hard to see many runs being scored against them.

No, but is certainly fitting for a typical Totallympics bashing masked under a pretense of "discussion".   Baseball/softball is like the only non-European-centric team sport at the Olympics.

Well I really hope this isn't the last time we see softball in the Olympics, because IMO this tournament was a ton of fun.

BBC isn’t doing anything, this is ES.  Probably the OBS stream, one guy is definitely Aaron Rogers who is normally a UK-based ice hockey commentator,

With this pitching lineup the Americans have in their arsenal I even think the much vaunted Japanese batting roster will find it difficult to get hits let alone runs...

Pitching change from Canada already, they take off Sarah no-relation-to-Dylan Groenewegen after creating lots of danger in the first two innings.

      Ju Jitsu    One of the worst martial arts really. Surely the middle east lobby.   The -52kg W final  deserved to win gold and did all attacks still lost to  who was trailing even on advantages and did nothing.      Total mockery of the sport. C'mon I'll happily watch Wushu here instead. Really wished to watch woodball

      Just realised there is Teqball here     Explains why there is no Sepaktakraw    I think the Teqball federation may have pledged to contribute to the hosting costs for the sport making it an easy choice for organizers and anyhow retired / 3rd string Sepaktakraw players only play it so believe that was the reason.     Anyway hate that artificial sport

      Day #6 Medallists (Olympic Total only)   women's -86kg:       men's -94kg:         not the best day in Karlos Nasar's career, but it was enough to easily win also Today's competition and enlarge his gold medals collection

      Race for LA28 Olympic berth starts as WBSC unveils Women's Softball World Cup Group Stage schedule   The WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup marks the first qualification event on the road to the LA28 Olympic Games, with one Olympic berth available for the top-ranked team at the Finals 2027.   A total of 57 games will be contested during the Group Stage, scheduled as follows: Prague from 16–20 June, Lima from 14–18 July, and Oklahoma City from 12–16 September.   Each group will feature a four-day, 15-game round-robin format, with the top four teams advancing to the Play-Offs. The top two teams will face each other for a direct spot in the Finals 2027, while the loser will play the winner of the third-place vs fourth-place matchup for the second qualification spot.       won the Team Sprint for the 1st time ever!      OK, no  and , but there were the  guys and  with "King" Lavreysen    so, still an amazing result to be proud of    in the meantime, not such a good ride in the men's Team Pursuit (the women were there with the Z-team, so, not worth any comment)
