You know the world has gone mad when Italy doesn't win a single gold medal in fencing, but they win the 100m. Can't wait for Jamaica to win men's foil in 2024.

He was born in Texas. He's eligible to vote in elections in Texas (unless he gave up his US citizenship at some point), he's a Texan.

 

Obviously not questioning that he's 100% Italian.

 

I've made similar comments about Canadian athletes with connections to Texas fwiw.
