Guess this is going to be the norm from now on. The hosts are coming in with their list if sports demands and the IOC will be Santa, because they barely find hosts to begin with.

That being said, PSL was and still is much better than those Big Air stunts and they shouldn't have removed it to begin with.

This means at a min. All other sports will lose at least 40 quotas combined....not to mention women's Nordic combined being added as well (likely).

Yikes.

They need to just... chill with the restrictions on the overall number of athletes.

Ski Mountaineering has officially been added to the sports program for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

yesss! :cheer:

5 events: men and women's Sprint race; men and women's Individual race and Mixed Team Relay...

24 quota for men, 24 quota also for women (obviously)...

now I hope our politicians won't start any stupid fight to host the sport and our NOC chooses the wonderful, unmatched landscape of the Dolomites to stage all of those races...

I'm sure we already have the pictures of the Games, if not the pictures of the history of the Games...

unfortuantely, those idiots of the IOC once again totally ignored Natural Track Luge, because Japan, USA and many others can add their most successful sport to increase their medal chances at their disposal (even if for a single edition of the Games), but Italy just can't... :wall:

Surely it’s weather conditions. Speed skating can’t really be held safely if it’s snowing or raining as they competing.  So an outdoor venue is Leon to the weather playing havoc with the schedule. An outdoor swimming pool in LA is less risky as Swimming can happen in light rain and LA is rather dry in the Summer.
