IOC bars Russian freestyle wrestler and two-time Olympic champion Abdulrashid Sadulaev from participating in Olympic qualificaiton. Sadulaev participated in rallies in support of Russian aggression against Ukraine.

It's being reported this was a UWW decision and not the IOC

How it looks right now: UWW supported Sadulaev and allowed him to compete, but the IOC ruled out that he is ineligible for the Olympics.

After that UWW panel quickly "found new information about his support of the Ukraine-Russia war and that he is still officially declared a member of the Dynamo club" and banned him. This quick ban allowed russians substitute him.

The draw is available!

do you know if the :FRA have a chance of qualifying?

Frankly i don't see it happening. There are just too many good wrestlers on both sides of the draw.

The best chances are probably Magamadov at FS 86 kg and Lecarpentier at WW 76 kg.

As @Josh said it's not in order which is fine just to give us idea of top wrestler.

Even if he put her at the end in order he would be right. Andreaa Ana is a 3 time European Champion in 55kg, not 53kg. Can't see her qualifying for the games though.

You're smart as always and, yes, it's a huge difference between 55 and 53 kg that could bring the world upside down.

Could've told us WHY you don't see her qualifying for Olympics (btw, she made it 4 years ago, at 20 yo); it's obvious you know the insights of WW like your own pocket

If the lights light up exactly at the correct moment, he was definitely first, since his light went on first. Not sure if those lights are 100% accurate though?
